Rudimental – Waiting all Night Featuring Ella Eyre

April 4, 2013

This is pretty amazing. This band Rudimental put together a music video for their song “Waiting All Night” that tells the story of Kurt Yeager’s story from losing his leg to getting back on a BMX after busting his ass to make it happen. This video also features the likes of Ryan Metro, Jimmy Levan, Aaron Nardi, Just Allen and Danny Downey. I HIGHLY suggest you give this a watch since it’s pretty amazing.

“The official video for ‘Waiting All Night’ is the inspirational true life-story of San Francisco born BMX champion and actor – Kurt Yaeger, who became an amputee after an accident in 2006.
All the characters in the clip are pro bmx’ers and the real friends of Kurt.

Waiting All Night feat Ella Eyre is out April 14th, pre-order here: http://smarturl.it/WANep

Afternoon Delight – Trail Life

March 19, 2013

I could use some afternoon delight trails sessions in my life right about now… But yeah, that’s beside the point! Check out this video featuring Mitch McKelvey, Andrew Johnson, Kohl Denney and Jimmy Fricken Levan getting some time in at the Fury Trails in San Diego. I don’t remember the last time I saw some footage of Jimmy shredding some trails so I’m stoked on this! Definitely a good mix of riding and damn do these trails look good. Check it!

Jimmy Levan on BMX and Metal Bikes

July 29, 2012

It’s been a while since we’ve seen some Jimmy Levan, but here’s a little interview with him from Alli Sports.

“Jimmy Levan is the man behind Metal Bikes and as a BMXer himself he can personally speak to the hardships that come with running a company, being an active rider all while trying not to overdose on the thing you love. We catch up with Jimmy to get his take on getting started in BMX as a punk-rock member of his “X-Men”, entrepreneurship and mixing his passion for the sport with the business of making a living. Check in with Jimmy Levan and let him take you Inside BMX.”

Story Behind The Photo: Jimmy Levan & The Chainless Tooth

June 24, 2012

I’ll be honest and say I never knew this photo was chainless. That makes it so much more gnarly.

“Jimmy Levan tell the behind the scenes story about his first tooth hanger photo that he shot for an Odyssey BMX ad. It just so happened to be in the dark and he was missing his chain at the time. Photo by Justin Kosman” – Crooked World

DIG – Catching Up With Jimmy LeVan

DuFFS Houston Trip

April 11, 2011

“Earlier this year, the DuFFS BMX team, consisting of Jimmy Levan, Jake Seeley, Alex Magallan and Kevin Porter, departed on a team trip that was supposed to wound through Houston, Texas and continue on into the deep South. Unexpectedly, the team never made it past Houston.

Instead, they remained in the Bayou City, and rediscovered what Houston had to offer. In the above video, the DuFFS gets it done on Houston soil. The trip is also depicted in issue 150 of Ride UK Magazine (Kevin Porter wrote the story and Walter Pieringer shot the photos), which is on newsstands now. ESPN – Jimmy Levan – Head Trauma

April 1, 2011

Jimmy Levan has an interview over on ESPN where he talks about all the struggles he has had from head injuries in the past. Needless to say, Jimmy is one hell of a badass. Anyone who has died and come back to life more than once is an ultimate beast and an endless supply of respect goes his way for continuing to ride. Get over to ESPN and check out this interview and wear a helmet, you won’t regret it.
