Northern Embassy – Justin Schwanke Five Clip Fever

Justin Schwanke just sent over his entry for the Northern Embassy Five Clip Fever contest. As expected, Justin came through with some creative and original riding where he put a bunch of grinds, rail rides and freecoaster action together. Take a peek!

Editorial: Cautiously “Canadian”

In the last few years of my life I’ve contracted the travel bug. It’s a strong virus with symptoms of vagabond desire, a craving for adventure, and a longing to be well-cultured. For me, the bicycle seems to be the paramount device to assist in spreading this virus, and connecting with other infected individuals. As a proud victim of this infection, I hope to share my stories and experiences in this series, bicycles involved or otherwise. In doing so, perhaps I may be able to achieve the status of a parasite and inspire others to contract the travel bug themselves…

Weird & Revered – Eastern Eccentricity

Earlier this summer, Justin Schwanke and his dad hopped in the car and took a big long road trip across Canada and into part of the United States on their way back. Throughout the trip, they hit up different skateparks and met up with different riders along the way. Above is his video from the 8571 mile round trip. During the last leg of his adventure, he stopped by my hometown to have a quick session at the local skatepark. Despite having stretched ligaments in my ankle and my knee acting up, I filmed a few clips for Justin’s video after we filmed the video that we released a few weeks back below! Hit play and enjoy this one because it has creative riding galore and an awesome vibe!

One Hour with Justin Schwanke

Our good friend Justin Schwanke wanted to kick off the summer right. So, Justin and his dad loaded up in their car and went on a huge road trip across Canada, down through New York and New Jersey, on over to Illinois, up to Minnesota and then back to Canada. During the trip Justin hit up a bunch of skateparks and checked out the sights. When he came through Minnesota we had him stop in Rochester for a quick session at the Silverlake skatepark for a session.

They were on a tight schedule so we didn’t have a ton of time to ride, but we did manage to get a solid hour of filming in for it. During that time, Justin came through with a bunch of solid clips with his unique style and racing background. Take a look at the BMX video above that came from it!
