About 2 weeks ago, we posted up a video showing you how to switch the new Karl Poynter hub from cassette to freecoaster. Now Ezra have put this video together showing you how to go from freecoaster to cassette. This is incredibly easy to do and I can’t imagine all too easy to screw up. Spotted this over on The Merged. Here’s a preview of Karl Poynter’s signature freecoaster from EZRA that has been in the works for what feels like forever. They’ve got a limited shipment of these that will be available in the coming days and based on the video above and below, it’s designed to be a freecoaster and a cassette by simply making a few changes to the driver and internals. This looks really promising. I want to see how well it holds up to the abuse. I think this might be the best freecoaster to drop yet. What do you guys think?

Over the past few years, there has been quite a bit of talk about a freecoaster that Karl Poynter had been working on. The project has been through it all with sponsor changes and design changes, but it has slowly come together and it becoming available is near. The other day, I spotted news that Karl’s freecoaster would finally be available in the next few months which is a good sign. I figured it was a perfect opportunity to catch up with him to find out what’s new and try to get a few words about the hub out of him since he’s been pretty tight lipped about it from the start.
