A few weeks back during the Bentonville Bike Fest, Mongoose had Kevin Peraza, Nikita Ducarroz and Matty Cranmer hop on some mountain bikes to cruise some of the trails and see what they could do. The transition from BMX to MTB is a little weird, but oddly enough pretty easy. Take a look at what they got into!

This place looks like a ton of fun to ride! “Before the “Ultimate X” contest in Kapstand started, @MonsterEnergy invited to a relaxed session on the trails of the legendary Hellsend Dirt Compound. You already know that is the bike park where, among other things, the Darkfest takes place. After the BMXers had examined the huge mountain bike lines (uff!), it was off to the dirt jumps, where an official session developed in the South African evening sun in front of an epic backdrop, with Kevin Peraza, Anthony Jeanjean, Mike Varga, Tom van that Boggard and Boyd Hilder massaged the hills. Incidentally, the latter was on a borrowed bike that was completely different from his personal set-up, which the airline he had traveled with had unfortunately wasted away somewhere. After the session, Monster donated a big barbecue and hectoliters of cold drinks on site. Thanks a lot for this! I was a friend of Pat—one of a few thousand—who happens to run a “news” outlet and I really struggled with what I should post and when. A few days after his passing, we began discussing doing a podcast that simply just pays respect to Pat. Who he was, what he did, how he lived.
