Just like every year around this time, there’s a lot of sponsor changes for pros, brands announcing some new products and things start getting fired up for the following year. One thing is that right now, there definitely have been some big changes happening the last few weeks. If you caught Adam’s Top 20 of 2011 on The Come Up or Brian Tunney’s 2011 Sponsor Changes or his Look back on 2011 on ESPN you got a good look back on 2011. Review: The Year of 2011
Well, would you look at that… 2011 is almost over. Where the hell did the year go? If there’s one thing I’ve come to realize is that the older you get, the faster the world turns. I’m not saying I’m old by any means, just after riding for nearly 12 years, the days fly by faster and faster and I’ve come to accept that as long as I keep riding, I’ll keep having good memories that I can look back on by the end of the year. I just went through my photos and selected out a few that stood out to me from the year. Silverlake is my home park and I’ve been going there since the place opened some 8 or 9 years ago or so now. There’s times I love the place and there is definitely times I’m sick of the place. But it’s my home park and after all these years we still find new stuff that’s never been done there. Kevin Oetlicker and Wyatt Kreel are two of my favorite people to ride with. They both have different styles, but each have their own unique tricks. I figured with Kevin going back to school at the U of M and Wyatt getting married with a baby on the way it would be a good time to get an edit fired out at the park. We took a few days to film an this is what came from it. Psyched on the last clip since Kevin put a lot of work into getting it done clean.
