X-Games 2015 – BMX Dirt Finals Highlights

Did you see X-Games 2015 Dirt yesterday on TV? Well, if you missed it… Here’s a real solid (a little shakey at times) recap with highlights from Kyle Baldock, Chris Doyle, Daniel Sandoval, Mike “Hucker” Clark, TJ Ellis, Kevin Peraza, Ryan Nyquist and more!

Given that we’re not allowed to film finals I missed Kyle’s winning run, (you can blame the security guard who makes an appearance in the last clip). Kyle Baldock Wins X-Games 2015 BMX Dirt

Kyle Baldock took home the win on the BMX Dirt course for X-Games 2015! Check out his winning run up top, then check out Mike “Hucker” Clark‘s run that landed him in 2nd place with the silver medal! Chris Doyle rounded out the top 3 with the bronze medal!

The Instagram Challenge with Kyle Baldock and Andrew Ahumada

Kyle Baldock was looking for a good challenge, so he asked some of his fans on Instagram to call out a few tricks for him to pull off for this round of The Instagram Challenge! Needless to say, Kyle ended up cooking up a bunch of crazy riding for you guys to enjoy! Hit play and take in this BMX video!

They may be his fans, but they aint taking it easy on him. Watch as Ahumada picks the tricks and Baldock tries his luck on some big, technical moves. Monster – Speed & Style 2014

Although the Texas Toast Jam was going on last weekend, there were still a few other big events going on like the Monster Speed & Style contest in Las Vegas! They basically took a traditional dirt course, doubled it so two riders can go head to head to throw down tricks, make it through the fastest and pull away the win with the best overall score! Check out highlights in the video above! It looks like a few guys bounced around between Las Vegas and Austin this past weekend…

“Paying a bit of homage to the Supercross event going on as the mainstay, Monster Energy threw a completely unique event that combined racing with dirt jumping on a switchable course. Two paths, two riders, two runs, and the lowest combined score counts. Yup, each rider could choose his destiny, going for speed or tricks and the scoring system laid out for the judges would make the call.

Done in a bracket style with 12 riders: round 1, round 2, semi-finals, finals…you only really have to look at the results to appreciate how diverse this event can really be.” – Ride BMX

How To Fakie Backflip with David Pinelli

For Kyle Baldock’s latest episode of Insight, he gives David Pinelli a few tips on backflip fakies on quarter pipes. Check out how David did along with a few guest clips from Andrew Ahumada for good measure!

“The backflip to fakie is a classic trick that can work easily first shot or go horribly wrong and end up with you kissing the ramp. In this clip Kyle Baldock walks you through the dos and don’ts of the trick and also point out key things that will help you land it and not sample the ground with your face. For help he has enlisted his friend David Pinelli to come and learn them himself. Finist’Air Show 2014

It’s wild how massive events like this can go down and we don’t realize it’s going down until after it already happened. Check out this video packed with BMX and motorcycles from this years Finist’Air Show out in France! Plenty of familiar faces throwing down in this one!

“It is now a tradition, every late summer the stars of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour and Sports Action meet atgain at Briec inBrittany for Finist’Air Show.
Particularly appreciated by riders for its friendly atmosphere, it’s under a radiant sunshine that occurred on August 31st FAS 2014, sponsored by Harley Davidson France. And what an edition ! , an event rarely has reached such a level in Europe this year.
FMX with Josh Sheehan (champion of Red Bull X-Fighters 2014), Tom Pagès, Taka Higashino, Clinton Moore, Daice Suzuki, CharlesPagès and Jey Rouanet was simply amazing. Double backflip, Special Flip, Takaroll, Bundy, Flair, Flair Tsunami Volt, 360 nac or all of the most innovative combos of the moment have fascinated the 18,000 spectators present. Josh Sheehan won the Best tricks”Harley Davidson” before Tom Pagès and Clinton Moore.
Brittany also trembled at the BMX Dirt with aliens Kyle Baldock and Jaie Toohey, who flabbergasted the huge line of Dirt with thestars Ryan Guettler, Pavel Alekhin, JB Peytavit, Vincent Massardier and a promising Joseph Forrissier.
The stunt and BMX Flat also offer an incredible show concludes with a battle between the stunters Julien Welsch, Romain JeandrotSarah Lézito, Jerémy Perrudin Kevin Lefrancois and the Flatlanders Viki Gomez, Fabien Stephan and Joris Bretagnolles.
The 2014 edition of Finist’air Show was exceptional and presented one of the best Event in Europe.”

Dew Tour Portland 2014 – Dirt Session Highlights

Last night, Kyle Baldock took home the win in the Dirt Sessions contest at the Dew Tour in Portland! It sounds like they mixed things up for this contest and made it a 30 minute jam format where you had to complete at least 3 runs to even make the top 5. Seems like it was a good idea because the guys didn’t seem stressed out and the riding got crazy. Kyle Baldock’s Insight: The Clipsal 500

Take a little look into Kyle Baldock’s life during some time he spent at the Clipsal 500 down in Australia recently! It’s pretty crazy to see big events like this featuring BMX because it puts a lot of eyes on the sport that might not really know much if anything about it. Plenty of wild riding went down as well! “Episode 2 of Insight takes you to one of Australia’s largest and most iconic action sports events, the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, South Australia. Held alongside the opening round of the V8 Supercars championship, it was an incredible BMX Dirt competition. Eight riders were hand selected and invited to compete in the BMX Rampage. There were demos each day and various comps with money up for grabs. The field was stacked. Riders like Cam White, Jaie Toohey, Andy Buckworth and more all showed up and went looney.” – Epic TV
