Red Bull – Colombian BMX Twins In The Big League

June 22, 2020

It’s awesome seeing more and more girls getting into BMX, and the younger generation is really pushing things in the right direction. Red Bull dropped this new video featuring twin sisters, Lizsurley and Queensaray Villegas, down in Colombia where they are making moves despite not having all the opportunities handed to them. This gives us a look at how they make things work, a look at where they’re living, what their goals and future ambitions are and more. Not only that, but there’s plenty of riding footage in this as well from their local park, trails and ramps they built up. These girls are paving the way for girl riders, and BMX in general, from Colombia!

“Discover how BMX twins Lizsurley and Queensaray prove to be ‘2 in a million’ as they work their way up from local freestylers to olympic hopefuls despite their lack of training infrastructure and resources.

Identical twins, Queensaray and Lizsurley were brought up in the Colombian jungle. Their family never had much but they were instilled with determination and a will to succeed. Their scrappy, make-do attitude has seen them go from flipping their bikes into a homemade rooftop foam pit to having the chance to represent their country and make their community proud as Olympic hopefuls.” – Red Bull
