Here’s some news we’re sure a bunch of you have already come across by now, but the majority of the Madera team have decided to part ways with the brand after Sean Morr came forward with details from a team trip in 2012, and his experience with riding for the brand, that shares his experience with racism that you can read about below. Team manager Mike Hinkens was fired after the details came to light. As of today, Erik Elstran, Dan Kruk, Jake Seeley, Grant Castelluzzo, Taylor Thompson, Jeff Dowhen, Mike Stahl, Isaiah Johnson and Jesse Romano have all since stepped down from the team after hearing Sean’s experience on the trip and with the brand as a whole. You can view their Instagram posts below as well! At this time, the Madera website is down, and we expect to see changes in the future. More importantly, check out Sean’s words and really understand it, because that is what is important.

This is one of those “it’s not if, but when” situations for sure! Madera have given Mike Stahl the well deserved bump on up to their Pro team after putting in a ton of work the past few years. Here’s a raw cut of footage from his “ABD” DVD section that gives you a taste of just why they gave him the promotion. You’ll have to check out the full DVD to see the rest of what he dropped, along with the whole Madera squad!
“We are proud to welcome Mike Stahl to the Madera Pro team.
Over the three years we spent making the full-length Madera ABD video, Mike busted ass more than anyone on the team and that earned him a spot on the Madera Pro Team. These clips are leftovers that didn’t make the cut for his 7 minute master class in all things BMX.
Make sure to get a hold of Madera ABD on disc at the link below in order to see what really earned him his pro spot!
