PA Model
BMX is interesting because there are so many factors that determine the frames and parts we ride. Cost and availability of materials, technology, time schedules, quantity and quality control issues are all things that most of us don’t really think about when it comes to buying something new for our bike. However, those are just some of the things brands have to consider when it comes to making the decision to have their products made in Taiwan, the U.S or anywhere else in the world.
Recently, Deluxe announced that Mark Potoczny’s signature PA Model frame would be available in two versions; made in the U.S and made in Taiwan. Over the years we have seen a handful of brands do products between the two and with the U.S option appearing to become more and more appealing of an option for production again, I figured it would be an awesome time to catch up with Deluxe’s Mark Noble to find out what lead to some of the decisions to give the U.S production a run and what kinds of differences we can find between the two production locations. Let’s see what he had to say along with a closer look at both frames!
Here’s one I’ve been waiting for! Can You Dig It dropped this brand new video from the Welcome Jam that went down the other weekend at the Potoczny compound out in Pennsylvania! I’ve said this more than once that this is hands down one of the best events of the year. I think this video is proof enough as to why! Enjoy!
“The world known Potoczny Welcome Jam had a massive turn out this year. Every year the jam’s get bigger and bigger, my imagination can only wonder what next year will be like. Meaning we have to one up the video we just made. Results: Best Trick | Jeremy Ball, High Air | Tyler Valentik, High Air Quarter | Lil Jon, Best Pancake | Teddy Van Orman.

If you have been following the Deluxe Instagram then you would know that some of the Deluxe team have been spending a little time getting some riding in out in Pennsylvania before the Welcome Jam this weekend at the Potoczny compound. The other night they hit up The Wheel Mill for a session. Check out this video to see what went down! I can’t get over how fun this place looks!

Holy crap.. I can’t believe August 24th is a week away! Don’t forget the Welcome Jam is going down at the Potoczny compound in Pennsylvania! If you’re looking for a hell of a good time… This is the place to be!
I’ve definitely been looking forward to Tuesdays more lately just because Deluxe has been dropping sections from their “Part Deux” DVD online. Here’s their latest section to hit the internet featuring Mark Potoczny and Jeremy Ball at the Hills and Mountains trails! So good.
“Mark Potoczny and Jeremy Ball session one of the finer spots in the UK – namely Hills & Mountains – for their second joint section on PART DEUX, filmed by Patrick Best. Cheers to the locals…
For our second full-length film, we decided to mix things around from Welcome To Deluxe. This time out we ventured to some choice spots that our team riders created and nurture on a daily basis – from Southern California to Pennsylvania, from the Midlands of England to Southern France. We also took the team on tour to discover new spots, cook up some lines, throw some shovel-loads, and have a good time. Because that’s what we’re all about… enjoy.

Here’s a quick helmet cam video that Deluxe‘s Mark Potoczny put together from a few runs with his buddy Bo! I’m pretty sure based on the description that Bo is really living the dream. Hit that play button.
“Follow Bo through 2 laps at his backyard trails in rural PA. Bo is a dude that has his shit together. He has a job as a chemist, a wife and a young daughter and still finds time to keep a trail line going in his yard. These clips are from the Take It Back Jam a few weeks ago, but better late than never!“
