Hoppy Trails – Toulouse, France

It looks like Deluxe‘s Mark Potoczny was sitting on some footage from his trip to Franc last year. Hit play and take the ride!

“Two runs from the Hoppy Trails in Toulouse, France taken during the Deluxe France trip in 2011. The first run follows Jeremy Ball through the main line. And the second run follows the Belgians Greg Van Tulder and Sven Grieten. These trails were like none I have ever been too. They were a lot like 9th street how the drop in off a wak way, but the walk way was next to a 400 year old canal. The setting was aazing and the jumps were really fun. Like any set of French trails, the session was followed by an amazing BBQ!”

Deluxe at the Texas Toast Jam

Check out Deluxe‘s Mark Potoczny and Ted Van Orman giving you a look at how the dirt course at the Texas Toast Jam was running this past weekend from Mark’s helmet cam! This looks like it was so fun.

Here is a run following Teddy Van Orman through the line during practice for the dirt prelims. Thanks to all the guys that helped build this and put on the event. Every year (except for last year) the Potoczny family open up their yard to riders from all over the world to come ride and have a good time at the trails that Mark and Mike Potoczny built in their woods. This year the Welcome Jam was brought back after a years hiatus to continue the good times. Since I wasn’t fortunate enough to make the voyage down to Pennsylvania for this one like I did two years ago, I had Chris Bird capture everything that went down on his camera. Take a peek if you’re into trails and good times since that’s what the Welcome Jam is all about!

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. The Welcome Jam at the Potoczny house is one of the best times you could have. Here’s a video from the one that went down this past weekend! Looks like the lines were running smooth and there was a huge turn out as expected.

2012 Welcome Jam Helmet Cam Preview

If there’s one place in this world I wish I could be on Saturday, it’s the Potoczny compound. Don’t forget to go to the Welcome Jam this weekend if you are within a 6 hour drive of Pittsburgh. This is seriously one of the best times you will have. I promise. Here’s a quick helmet cam Mark Potoczny put together giving you a look at just how good all the lines are running. Amazing.

“After a year hiatus it’s back! Here are all the lines we have running for the jam this Saturday September 29th. Hope you can come out and enjoy the trails. $5 to ride, eat, and watch 3 musical acts. Starts at noon and at dark. Prizes will be given out for high air on the quarter and on the Science jump.”

It’s BACK! The Welcome Jam at the Potoczny compound is one event I HIGHLY advise you make your way to. I was at the last one in 2010 and it was absolutely nuts. Let’s just hope there’s less people falling into the fire this time around.

Deluxe – Catty Woods POV 2012

Deluxe just dropped this quick helmet cam edit that Mark Potoczny filmed while taking a few runs through Catty Woods. These trails are soooo amazing. Check it!

“These are two runs from Catty Woods which is arguably the best trail scene in the world. This place is always amazing to ride. The first run follows Doughie Richie though the the West Side run that went through few a big changes this year including a gigantic quarter pipe transer out of the concrete berm. The second run goes through Fonzy then back into the ol 79 run. This line has been around for a few years and seen a lot of changes, but this year they fucking nailed it and it is so much fun.” – Mark Potoczny

Deluxe Part Deux PA Premiere Edit & Photogallery

The other weekend, Mark Potoczny threw a big premiere party for the release of the new Deluxe DVD, Part Deux, in Pittsburgh. Anyone who has ever been to a party thrown by Mark or spent some time in Pittsburgh knows that you’re in for a damn good time. Over the course of the weekend, there was a jam at the Sheraden skatepark that Tom Arkus organized , a premiere for the video at the OTB bar and a session that went down at the Potoczny’s trails to celebrate the release of the video. As expected, it turned out to be a damn good time. I don’t think anyone fell into the fire this time around either.
Nick Steben made the trip down to Pittsburgh for the good times and came back with the edit above and a photogallery that you can check out below! Enjoy!
