Over the last year or so, we’ve been seeing a bunch of Sam White’s videos popping up in the Daily Section. In that time, we’ve become quite a fan of his work and recently found out he’s also into shooting photos. T.K. Billups is known in the South, but I feel like overall his talents are still unknown. This edit should fix that problem! T.K. takes on some manly set ups with ease and is sure to make you happy that you pressed play.
When it came down to choosing this week’s topic I actually had to run through my archives and see if I ever happened to write about this before. I’m sure there has been mention of it here and there but I have never officially talked about Print vs. Online and gone into detail about the differences between the two. I have worked for both online and print simultaneously for years now and have definitely done so long enough to form solid opinions on both. I have had multiple covers, written countless articles and had hundreds of photos published. Honestly, I guess when it comes down to it I am pretty torn between the two, but we will get into that a little bit later on. For now, we all can agree that print is taking on a new shape and the online world has been doing just that since the Internet went public in 1989. Take a few minutes and dive into what will be my first time openly discussing this subject in any kind of actual detail.
The new Cult IC (investment cast) Sect fork is OUT NOW. This fork is made from heat-treated 4130 chromoly tubing with a 162mm 1-piece machined steerer tube with butted and tapered legs, 5mm thick investment cast drop outs, an integrated bearing race and an alloy compression cap. This fork has a 28mm offset and comes in colors of black, white and chrome with a weight of 35.4 oz. Also, these come with a lifetime warranty which is always a good thing!

Here’s a little sneak peek that I’m real stoked on. Subrosa dropped this sneak peek of the second version of Simone Barraco’s signature Noster frame that will be available in April! This time around they’ve given it this translucent gold colorway that looks so, so good, gave the head tube a 75.5-degree angle, made the drop outs smaller and removed the brake mounts! Expect more details closer to its release!

If there’s one thing that I know, it’s that if there is one guy who deserves every good thing that happens to him, it is Brian Kachinsky. After what seemed like a rough patch for Brian that we will call “2013” that involved losing sponsors, having new deals fall through, moving The Bakery to a new location and then being forced to rip it all out two months later, injuries and more. It would appear that things are finally starting to look better with the start of the new year for him. It was just announced yesterday that Brian had been added to the Vans team and this news couldn’t get any better. We figured it would be a good time to get ahold of him and catch up to find out what else is new. Let’s see what he had to say!
