Off the Record with Simon Tabron

November 22, 2012

This is awesome. Simon Tabron explains why he chose to take off the pegs and brakes and talks a little bit about how he looks at BMX. Style matters!

“Simon Tabron is an incredible BMX rider and VERT style master. Constantly looking for ways to improve his riding, Simon understands that mastering the intricate details of his tricks makes them look more effortless than ever. In this episode of Off The Record Tabron explains his path to progression that began with removing the pegs and cutting the breaks on his bike opening up dramatic changes to his approach and riding style. Like a paint brush on canvas Tabron’s style is smooth, flowing, and always above the coping!” – Network A

Heath Pinter’s Backyard BMX Jam

November 1, 2012

Damn! This turned out so rad. Heath Pinter have a dialed ass backyard so he invited a few friends over for a jam. They had some perfect weather some real good riding went down. Those helicopter shots look awesome.

“BMX pro Heath Pinter recently invited friends and pros for an epic night of Trail riding in his backyard. With the huge support of Hart and Huntington, Heath put together a core BMX event with the sole purpose of riding with friends and nailing shots under the lights. Andrew Lazaruk, TJ Ellis, and Luke Parslow were on hand to name a few, taking laps and enjoying the sunset views out in Riverside, California. Aerial optics took things to another level capturing the whole event from above with their special helicopter camera rig. Check it out!” – Network A

Phoenix Scene Check

November 1, 2012

Two edits featuring Drew Hosselton, Adam Banton and Arnaud Wolff in one week? Sounds good to me. Check out even more goodness from the Phoenix, Arizona area.

“Volume bikes Drew Hosselton and Odyssey pro Adam Banton catch up with Bobby Kanode for a tour of Arizona’s BMX hot spots. Things kick off in Phoenix where it’s always popping off and come winter you’ll find pro teams from across the country looking for a piece of the desert action. The sessions really heat up when the temperature drops at night. Lights? Who needs lights?” – Network A

October 31, 2012

Hahahaha, this is amazing! Ryan Nyquist and his brother, Shea Nyquist, fabricated up some custom tall BMX bikes to do some jousting on them. Needless to say, when something as ridiculous as this becomes a thing, it gets pretty awesome.

“In episode 2 of Getting Awesome, Ryan and friends gather for the Old World manliness celebration of a jousting tournament. With support from Haro Bikes and brother Shea Nyquist, Ryan crafts extra tall bikes and custom Osiris shoe tipped jousting poles. The tournament kicks off with man vs. man elimination rounds until a winner is crowned. Who will be crowned the most awesome knight? New episodes drop alternating Tuesdays!” – Network A

October 30, 2012

After all these years, you would think Ryan Nyquist would be slowing down, but it just seems like things are going faster than ever. Between all the contests, dad life, filming for edits and now his new series “Getting Awesome” on Network A, there’s no doubt that he’s got himself a full plate. We figured it would be a good time to distract him for a little bit with a few questions to see what’s new with the guy! Check out what he had to say…

Anyone who knows Ryan, knows that he likes to have a good time and is funny as hell. Crooked World – Albert Mercado San Diego Super Session

August 30, 2012

Oh hell yeah! This new Albert Mercado edit featuring Tom Perry and Dirt Ron is definitely a must see. Tons of good riding and such a good vibe! Check it!

“Kink Bike Co. teamrider Albert Mercado meets up with the legendary Dirt Ron and buddy Tom Perry for a San Diego Super Session. The boys hit up a number of SD’s best spots before getting sidetracked at the skatepark by some day-walking gingers. Albert refuses to let the encounter slow the team down and finishes strong with a caveman drop in off the lifeguard tower turning heads up and down the beach.” – Crooked World
