Odyssey BMX – Traveler Bag

April 3, 2018

If you’re looking for an easy way to travel with your bike without tipping off TSA, the new Odyssey Traveler Bag might just be for you!

Odyssey BMX Traveler Bag

Anyone who has traveled with their bike knows the stress of showing up at the airport, not knowing if you’re about to get hit with some incredibly ridiculous fee for bringing a bike on the flight. Over the years, BMX has wised up and introduced a few different Bike Bags disguised as Golf Club Bags, which ironically don’t get an extra fee. Since airlines are always looking to make an extra buck, they’ve been making the size of bags smaller, so it’s been getting a little trickier to get through the TSA. Fortunately, Odyssey have a new bag that’ll help. Here’s a look at the new Odyssey Traveler Bag that fits your bike into the smallest size bag possible. Similar to their Nest Bag that’s built to look like a golf bag, but fit a bike perfectly with room for some extras, this bag does a similar job. This airline friendly bag is designed to be sturdy with reinforced and riveted handles, heavy duty and grippy wheels for rolling, and minimal details and weight to keep it flying under the radar (pun intended). Inside you can find an easy load opening, interior tool pouch, multiple tie downs and straps to keep everything in place and an interior divider for clean and dirty sections and a little help hiding your bike.

This bag was inspired by Gary Young who has been traveling all around the world for years and flown hundreds of times with his bike, so you know Odyssey had some great insight when it came to the design of this bike bag.

The Odyssey Traveler Bag is available for $179.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey BMX worldwide now, or direct from the Odyssey website. If you need a little more space or you’re on a tigheter budget, you can still pick up the Nest Bag as well.
