Head over to the Operativ website to check out a quick interview with Brad Simms about all the traveling he does — It’s unreal how many countries he has been in lately — along with some talk about his latest edit from France that we have re-embeded below just incase you missed it!
We don’t see nearly enough of Brad Simms these days, but he’s been busy out traveling the world like he has been for years! Recently, he spent some time in France exploring some of the smaller towns and untapped spots to see what he could cook up for this Operativ video! Needless to say… He came through with some damn good riding as always!
“Brad Simms rides and explores the hidden treasures of small French suburban towns, with a stop through Paris.

“Just as an object within our environment can be perceived in multiple ways, so an object’s potential may fail to be perceived at all. The phenomenal awareness we share within our environment binds us together, creating a world many others do not know exists. We see from a third eye, and for us, our environment is a canvas with endless potential.
This is our unique lifestyle and we are in effect: across borders, cultures, and a diverse range of mediums. We are in back alleys of major cities and backwoods trails others can’t find on a map. We are the mysterious black marks on walls, the wax stains on ledges, and the paint that refuses to stay on the rails. Evidence of our missions; these are the symbols that we are everywhere.
Operativ is inspired by this distinct awareness we share and a lifestyle spent boldly painting the image of our mind’s eye on the world around us. Apparel built on principles of conceptual design, functionality, and close attention to detail; we strive to stand as a testament to the innovative thinking and raw creative energy our lifestyles embrace.“
Fuck snakes… But seriously… Brad Simms is now doing it for Operativ! Check out a few words about the news from Josh Suhre and I’d imagine we can start waiting for a welcome edit!
“Brad Simms joins the Operativ BMX crew alongside riders David Grant, Bobby Simmons, Chad Ring, and Alex Magallan.
As a living BMX legend, Brad enjoys the globe-trotting lifestyle every rider dreams about. All of this didn’t come without hustle and hard work, though. Humbly honing his skills in the empty parking lots of Indian Head, Maryland built the foundation for an onslaught of video parts, X Games appearances, and some of the most memorable street moves in the game. From his extensive travels he’s acquired a truly unique perspective of the world around him and continues to leave a path of destruction wherever he goes. Brad is filming for his first Operativ edit, so keep an eye out for it dropping soon.” – Josh Suhre
