“Virginia Beach, VA (August 25, 2012) – Eighteen-year-old Daniel Sandoval claimed first place and $5,000 Saturday at the inaugural LXVI BMX Invitational presented by Vans at the 50th ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach. In the last of his three runs, Sandoval combined a bar to whip, a huge late front flip and 360 bar to bar for the highest score of the day. In all, three Californians took the podium as runner up Pat Casey and third place TJ Ellis took home $3,750 and $3,000, respectively.

We continue to send positive thoughts to Brett Banasiewicz. Banasiewicz was injured on Thursday during practice and transported to an area hospital for treatment. Here’s part one from the Monster team trip from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, Utah. Looks like these guys had a hell of a good time and Jamie Bestwick rides everything but a vert ramp! Can’t wait to see part two.

Well, the bar just got set REALLY high for this round of The Hunt. It looks like Pat Casey teamed up with filmer and editor JC Pieri for his entry in this round. All I know is between Pat’s talent and JC’s talent, this section will be pure fire. I believe entries are due soon, so I’d imagine more of these teasers will be popping up soon.

Seriously, I’m kind of surprised there aren’t more mini ramp contests. These guys go off.
