It looks like Red Bull Spain is teaming up with Sergio Layos to throw a contest in a train station later this month. Check out this trailer which features some riding from Sergio and a sneak peek at the location where they are holding the event. This should be rad. If you are in Madrid, Spain on March 24th and 25th, you will need to be there.
Condor Cam at Red Bull Dream Line
I was wondering where the rest of that footage from the cameras that were flying above the Dream Line contest last fall went. The guys at Condor Cam put together this edit with some of the clips that Red Bull didn’t use. I REALLY hope I can go to the next one.
“CondorCam flew the RED ONE on the Red Bull Dream Line with Anthony Napolitan in the summer of 2011. We shot at 90/sec on most of the footage, which made the shots graceful and just jaw dropping to watch…these jumps were big!”
Even More Red Bull Roast It
Don’t let the title make you think I’m over this one bit. The footage from the Red Bull Roast It contest is absolute gold. Enjoy!
“ A little edit of an awesome dirt jump competition set up by Red Bull, and hosted here in our backyard at Gorge Road Bike Park. Sick show by the riders who owned the park!

More Red Bull Roast It
Bruce Thompson put together this dialed video from the Red Bull Roast It contest. Definitely a different look from the other videos that came out already. So stoked on this contest.
Red Bull – Roast It – Highlights
Oh hell yes. This is what I’ve been waiting for!
“Catch some BMX dirt park action from Red Bull Roast It 2012, where some of the world’s best riders rocked the Gorge Road dirt park in Queenstown, New Zealand, which has one of the biggest collections of dirt jumps on the planet. In the end it was Paul Langland, who was crowned Best Rider whereas George Bolter and Brandon Dosch were tied for riding the Best Line and Jed Mildon nailed the Best Trick…” – Red Bull
Red Bull – Roast It – The Heat Is On
I seriously can’t get over how amazing this place turned out. Red Bull has done it again. Hopefully some of the contest footage starts popping up.
“There is sure to be some red-hot BMX action served up this weekend at Red Bull Roast It on the outskirts of Queenstown, New Zealand. Throw together some of the world’s best BMX riders, a hand-built jump park and more bad-ass tricks than you can wave a pair of knee pads at and you have all the ingredients for a perfect day’s BMXing. Get a taste for it by watching Jaden Leeming, and George and Louis Bolter tear things up.”

Red Bull – Empire of Dirt Returns for 2012

After a hiatus of a few years, Red Bull is working with Kye Forte to bring back the Empire of Dirt contest. For those of you who remember this from 2008, the course was a slope style dirt course with a few wood ramps mixed into it to keep the guys on their toes. The contest was supposed to happen again in 2009, but it got rained out. Stoked to see they are bringing it back for this year.
This means not only will there be this contest, but Dream Line happening this year. Red Bull is killing it!
“ Red Bull Empire of Dirt is back for 2012, the previous event in 2008 was feted by pro riders as the most progressive event the BMX world had seen, so this is sure to be a welcome return.
Kye Forte has been busy designing an amazing, challenging course and is excited for this year’s event which will take BMX to the next level.
” Empire in my opinion not only shows what is possible on a BMX in way of riding & course design to the general public as well as a core BMX fan. The oversized features on the course & mix of terrain MX size jumps & snowboard type hits is obviously dangerous & very entertaining, which will appeal to a wider audience, as well as the BMX scene”
36 riders will compete in the event, which will take place in London. For details visit the Empire of Dirt event page and check back for more updates very soon.”
