Last weekend Ruben Alcantara was awarded the Legend Award during Ride BMX‘s annual NORA Cup Awards. Prior to that they grabbed a bunch of pros and industry guys to talk a little bit about Ruben, his style, some of his notable video part clips that have been burned in so many of our brains and more. Battle of Hastings 2017 – Qualifier & Best Trick Highlights

Yesterday was the qualifying round for the 2nd annual Source BMX “Battle of Hastings” contest, along with the best trick contest! Needless to say, when you pack some of the best riders in the world into this bowl, things are going to get insane. Below you can view a few videos giving you a look at the madness that has already gone down at the contest. The finals are coming up today, and you know the riders are just gonna send it!

“The Battle of Hastings qualifying event went down yesterday and it was absolutely mental. 44 of BMX’s top riders competing in the world’s largest underground skatepark (Source BMX) in a unique contest format that consists of 11 teams of 4 riders each, plus a video segment where each team picks two riders to film for one hour in a separate plaza. The plaza videos premieres last night and let me tell you, you are not ready. For now enjoy this condensed version of the “Best Tricks” that everyone took at the end of their runs, plus a few other select highlights from the day. Battle of Hastings 2017 – Friday Practice Highlights

The Battle of Hastings is going down this weekend and it’s bound to be a wild one! With riders from all over the world flying in to Hastings, England to get to work on the course. Below you can find two videos giving us a look at what went down during the Practice on Friday! Expect to see a TON of footage pumping out of this contest over the next few days!

Battle of Hastings 2017 – First Look

The Battle of Hastings is going down this morning at Source BMX in Hastings, England this weekend! The pros are starting to roll in and get some warm up riding time in and things are already getting rolling. Here’s a video Ride BMX whipped up from a bit of practice so far! Chad Curtis – Burning Daylight

You know you’re always in for a treat when Chad Curtis drops a new video. Here’s a look at his Burning Daylight video that is packed full of clips he stacked at a few different skateparks, a bunch of street spots and ditches. As always, Chad brings a unique approach to everything he touches and mixes in X Ups wherever he can. This is a real good watch, so get on that play button already!

Mike Hinkens – BMX Street In Ecuador

For those of you who didn’t know, Mike Hinkens made the move from his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin last year. As expected, he immediately went to work finding all the best spots to ride around the area. Here’s a video giving you a look at Mike and a few friends putting in work on the spots that he has come across so far. As always, Mike comes through with some real solid riding with plenty of grinds and cassette usage! Take a peek!

“Mike Hinkens moved to Guayaquil, Ecuador last summer and has been steady searching the largest city in the country for spots. When I got the chance to be there for three weeks I jumped at the opportunity to experience Ecuador. Mongoose Jam 2017 – Camper Selection Session

It’s that time of the year again for the annual Mongoose Jam! The other day the crew had all the campers compete for their spots on each of the teams. Here’s a look at what went down and who got picked to ride on each of the teams! This should be another awesome year for the contest, so get ready!

“One of the coolest parts of the Mongoose Jam is the camper selection session. It all goes down during the Woodward camper jam where the Mongoose teams watch the action and discuss which rider they want to have join their team. It doesn’t have to be the best riders with the hardest tricks, either—the only criteria is that all the riders have to be actual campers. The level of riding at the Mongoose Jam 2017 Camper Selection Session was super high, and in the end, the five campers who got picked to ride and film with some of the sickest pro riders and filmers were Ren Ota from Japan, TJ Ettinger, Jack Seeley, Oliver Foster, and Jacob Senger.” – Ride BMX
