Pro Part – Drew Hosselton

November 27, 2015

When Drew Hosselton has a new BMX video drop, you know it’s going to be something you cannot pass up watching. Ride BMX just released Drew’s “Pro Part” which is packed full of amazing riding where Drew utilizes his ability to ride just about anything he comes across or do things most people wouldn’t think of on the rest. This is one video you can’t skip out on!

“Street riding means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some riders can relate more to pulling a new move on a status spot or laying claim to an NBD. Then there’s the school of riders who are more conceptual with their riding. Where the setup is, and how it’s ridden takes precedence over the actual trick performed. Drew Hosselton is an alumnus from the school of conceptual street riding. For Drew, stock ledges and perfect rails need not apply—his canvas is the abstract and weird. Some of the things he rides really aren’t even spots at all and the trick is just figuring out how to ride them. When we first discussed the Pro Part videos Drew was my first choice for someone I’d like to work with. I’ve always been a huge fan of his riding and after years of shooting photos together I was excited to spearhead a video project with him. —Jeff Z.

Alex Hiam & Boyd Hilder – A Video Tour of San Francisco

November 11, 2015

If you’re looking for a crazy BMX video, this is the one for you. Alex Hiam and Boyd Hilder recently spent some time in San Francisco absolutely TEARING apart spot after spot. It didn’t matter if it was skatepark or a street spot… They crushed it. Hit play because this is one you cannot miss!

“Straight bangers from the mean streets of San Fransisco via young-bucks Alex Hiam and Boyd Hilder.

Alex Hiam and Boyd Hilder are two new-generation dudes who are coming up QUICK. They recently spent some time in San Francisco, making the most of the city’s streets, parks, and ditches, and showcasing their freakishly skilled brand of bike riding.

”When I first found out I was going to go on a trip to SF to film with Alex Hiam & Boyd Hilder, I had no idea what to expect! I knew they were going to kill it and have the time of their lives in the city, seeing all the crazy people SF has to offer.. But I had no idea we were going to be get chased by a priest, have random people give us a free bottles of alcohol, and even take a drive in one of the city’s most ghetto projects. It was an adventure to say the least! We hit fresh new spots everyday. Alex and Boyd were sending everything with no hesitation, just making it look too easy. These two definitely feed off each others riding and it’s sick to see them have a video together in one of America’s best cites to ride street in. I can guarantee you haven’t seen a video like this from these two.. and I know I’m not the only one who can’t wait to see more from them down the road.

Cheers to the good times Alex & Boyd it was an unforgettable trip.” – David Pendleton (Filmer / Editor)” – Ride BMX

We were wondering when some footage from this contest was going to surface. A few weeks back the G-Shock Real Toughness contest went down in Japan and based off this video, it was a pretty wild contest where some of your favorite street riders went head to head. The filming and editing in this video is fast paced and pretty crazy… So be warned if you get motion sickness from watching movies. Otherwise, enjoy.

“The 2015 G-Shock Real Toughness event just went down in Tokyo, Japan, and it was unlike any other event we’ve seen before. Beyond the BMX street riding comp, there was also a flatland jam, skateboarding, breakdancing, DJs, graffiti artists and more all under one roof. The street comp saw Tyler Fernengel and Devon Smillie (team USA), Alex Donnachie and Ollie Shields (team UK) Bruno Hoffman and Fernando Laczko (team Germany, and Rim Nakamura and Shota Higa (team Japan) battle it out over three heats with team USA walking away with the win.
