Kink and Eclat‘s Dan Coller has been on fire for a long time, but DAMN! This new video is loaded with some serious heat and by far the best riding we’ve seen from him. This is one video you gotta check out!
“I first met Dan when he was around 14. Back then he was affectionally named Lil Dan, and he was at that point where you could tell that he had a ton of bike control, but that damn bike was just a little too heavy for him. He was more finesse than anything else. Lil Dan hit a damn growing spurt (did I really just write spurt?) shortly after, dropped the “lil” stigma, and began straight man-handling his bike—with some finesse, too—on setups that no one else can or would want to touch. “When I started working on the video this was the first song I cleared knowing I wanted to use it for a friends mix section. By the time the video was done, Band of Horses had blown up and the music supervisor told me it was no longer possible to get their songs at an affordable price. So we were lucky we got it when we did. I’ve always liked the vibe of this part thanks to that song. Randy Brown and Kurt Rasmusson clips are my favorite. Also, Edwin Delarosa loves this part, he always reminds me that it’s one of his favorites so that’s pretty cool.” —Ryan Navazio

One of my personal favorite sections from the Ride BMX “Insight” video is now online! Between Darryl’s perfect barspins and some of the best hurricane’s ever, this is loaded with amazing riding you will want to see!
“Darryl Tocco and the Bad Timing crew were pretty legendary in the South Jersey area. One of the reasons I picked Tocco to have a part was his ability to balance being both a videographer and a rider. Having filmed the Bad Timing videos and also having full video parts was admirable. I wanted Insight to touch on the idea of being a both a rider and videographer so Tocco was the man for the job. Prior to Insight he had been on some Standpoint trips and we even did a Bad Timing section in Standpoint 6. He had just gotten on Kink and was starting to make more of a name for himself outside of the South Jersey area so it was perfect timing (no pun intended) for him to have a part in the video. Prior to Insight, Jeff Z and I used to drive around on filming/photo missions listening to Sonic Youth song “Incinerate.” We always talked about how perfect it would be for a part and Darryl ended up riding to it in the video.” —Ryan Navazio
