“The Works Skatepark in Leeds was the starting venue for this years Monster Energy/Ride UK – Ride To Glory 2011. Once all of the 5 teams turned up, it was time to hand over the challenge books, the secret locations, some crates of Monster and various other bits of bobs ready for the week ahead.
As always we like to start kicking things off with a bunch of ‘height’ challenges to get the teams in the mood. Even though it was about 10 in the evening, some of the riders were keen to get their points ticked off for their teams. The Highest Wallride, Highest over the Volcano, Highest Air in the Bowl and Highest over the Driveway all took place with a few surprise winners clocking maximum points and a pat on the back from the TM…

“In accompaniment to this months UK scenes issue, James Hamilton-Martin over at DigitalBMX has produced this tidy little number for Ride documenting the Kingston scene. Back in the day Saxon Kings used to be crowned in the local marketplace. These days it’s a bit different.
