Vans – Classic Tales: Scotty Cranmer Smashes His Front Teeth

Vans coming through with a new Classic Tales episode. This time around they caught up with Scotty Cranmer to tell the story of the time he smashed his front teeth out on a failed double backflip during a contest. The crash isn’t too funny, but what happened on the plane ride home is! Hit play an check it out!

“Scotty Cranmer decides during a contest run he is going to try the hardest trick of his life. He goes for it 110% and ends up with his face taking 111% of the impact upon landing. He wakes up toothless and it just gets grosser from there.

With the FloriDeah Swampfest just a few days away, Scotty Cranmer decided to give everyone a sneak peek look at the Obstacle Course Challenge that was set up for the contest. This looks super hard and should lead to plenty of muddy and wet riders. If you’re headed down to Florida, you are in for a good time!

Scotty Cranmer – Budget Build Dumpster Ramp Challenge

Anyone who has rode BMX for longer than about 10 minutes has probably built a sketchy ramp or something to ride that is made out of junk. It’s not the best setup in the world to ride, but damn can it be fun. Scotty Cranmer and Big Boy decided to do some dumpster diving to build an A frame to ride. Here’s a look at what they built up and what went down during the session. Even Scotty got in on the session! Take a look!

“Todays budget build challenge is Big Boy’s idea, build a ramp to do as many tricks on a BMX bike as possible! We drive around to different shopping centers searching the garbage in hopes of finding some budget build gold! Big Boy did a tail whip over the ramp we built and I did the best controlled jump that I have done since my accident!” – Scotty Cranmer

Scotty Cranmer Injury Update – 29 Months

It’s crazy to think it has been 29 months since Scotty Cranmer‘s accident that turned his whole world upside down. In that time, Scotty has made some amazing progress from being in a wheelchair to being able to ride his bike and more. Scotty decided it was time to try and see if he could swim, so this is a look at him giving that a shot. It’s another step forward, and the progress keeps happening! Hell yeah, Scotty!

“It has been 29 months since my life changing accident and I decided to do another update video to show everyone the progress I have been making. I take you all on a bike ride and I talk about my move to Florida for the winter and I also attempt to go swimming for the first time since my accident and it turns out that I currently can’t swim! I am going to keep practicing and I am setting a goal to learn how to swim and I will check back in soon with a new progress video! Thank you all for the continued support!” – Scotty Cranmer

How To Build A Hang Five Machine

Over the years we’ve seen a number of videos teaching people how to hang five on a BMX bike, and we’ve also seen the “Hang Five Machine” come out a few times as well. Essentially what is is just your bars, stem and front wheel, eliminating the bike completely so you can figure out your balance point. Big Boy decided he wanted to learn hang five’s properly, so he had Scotty Cranmer give him some tips with the help of the hang five machine. Hit play and see how it all worked out! If that doesn’t work for you, you could always make a nose manual adaptor?

Swampfest 2019 Ramp Sneak Preview

With the FloriDeah Swampfest just a few weeks away, the build out is underway and really starting to take shape. Here’s a video Scotty Cranmer put together giving us a little preview of some of the ramps and the trails that have been built so far. Based on what we’re seeing, this is going to be the craziest setup yet!

Scotty Cranmer – Rest In Peace, Jesco Jones

It was announced the other day that Trey Jones‘ dog, Jesco Jones, had passed away. Jesco has grown to become one of the best known and loved dogs in BMX, so it hit hard for a ton of Jesco fans all around the world. Here’s a video Scotty Cranmer put together where Trey talks a little bit about what happened to Jesco and some of his thoughts about it. After that, Trey talks about what’s in store for this years Florideah Swampest. Hit play and take it all in!

“Trey Jones lost his best friend, his Bulldog, Jesco Jones. Jesco was an amazing Dog that was as unique as could be. He was extremely smart and carried himself as if he was more of a human being then an English Bulldog. He will be missed by so many but he will never be forgotten. But today also marks the first day that Trey Jones begins the build of the BMX event, Swampfest 2019. We got a tour of the event grounds and Big Boy rode his dirt bike around the track!” – Scotty Cranmer

Scotty Cranmer – Building Up An Expensive Bike For You

Scotty Cranmer made his way back up North to New Jersey to stop by his shop and see what’s going on. It turned out Brooklyn was building up a brand new custom build, so Scotty pulled out the camera to take a look at this jet fuel and gold machine. Take a look!
