Here’s a look at The Shadow Conspiracy‘s latest print ad featuring Lahsaan Kobza and his signature Chula stem! Once you get over how sick that spot is, take a closer look at the stem right here.

Alright, let’s get this party started! Interbike 2013 started up today and as expected, the chaos of running around trying to talk to everyone and get a look at all the new products is all too familiar! After a quick cruise around the BMX area to get an idea of where everything was, I figured I better start in the Sparky’s Booth to check out what The Shadow Conspiracy had on display. It turns out, as expected, they have a TON of new product, so let’s get into this!
Interbike is just a few hours away from kicking off, but it seems that Sparky’s just couldn’t take the wait any longer and leaked two pictures that include a number of new, interesting products. No doubt our fearless leader Kurt will get the scoop for us very soon, but for now check out these pictures and get excited! Shadow’s new cranks, a separate mounted sprocket guard, and Supreme chain is what the photo above is about, while below Subrosa shows off what might be the most unorthodox bar design since the Powerlite Power Bend bars. Things are about to get interesting, fast!
We’ve seen the making of The Shadow Conspiracy X The Hundreds bike, and heard from the people involved, but in this video we get to see the bike in action rolling around the city.

BMX is pretty unique in the sense that it’s always evolving and re-inventing itself. The bikes from 10 years ago are pretty much polar opposite of what they are today. Complicated things have been re-designed and made to be lighter, stronger and easier to install and maintain. Everything on a bike has been tweaked and changed to make it better, sometimes multiple times.
In the past decade, we’ve seen seats go from railed to the very popular pivotal style. I remember thinking how simple the design was and that there probably wouldn’t be much you could do to make a seat more simplistic and cleaner…
Well, I was wrong. A little over a year ago, David from Fly Bikes introduced the tripod seat system and like a Colorado wild fire in the middle of a drought, we’ve seen this new concept take off with more and more brands starting to offer their own version of the seat and post design with no signs of slowing down any time soon.
We were really curious to know what the story was behind this system, so we caught up with the brains of the operation, David Quesada, to talk a little bit about how this all came about. Let’s see what he had to say…
ESPN BMX caught up with Ronnie Bonner from The Shadow Conspiracy and some of the guys from The Hundreds to talk about how the collaboration came about and go over some of the key aesthetics behind the project! Everything from the bike to the shirts, shoes, hats and tool look super dialed. Take a peek!

Drew Bezanson – Sano Brake Line from Shadow Conspiracy on Vimeo.
In this new joint from Shadow, Drew Bezanson explains why he runs brakes, what went into designing them, and talks about the never ending effort to improve the product. Of course it’s not all talking, we also get some fresh Drew footage, which is always a treat!
Here is a neat video of the The Hundreds X The Shadow Conspiracy bike being put together from raw tubing to in the box ready to go out the door. According to Shadow, this video was made up of 627 photos, and took 42 hours to edit. Her eis a little more info on this limited edition bike:
