Collective: Nick Bonner & Preston Levi

June 1, 2015

The Community Project released this rad new video featuring Nick Bonner and Preston Levi hitting spots all around Denver, Colorado. This video gives us some insight into the friendship between the two and a ton of riding clips that you know are worth checking out!

“In collaboration with Colorado’s finest, Pusher Bmx Shop, we are excited to bring you Collective. Bringing together two riders who represent that tight knit community we have in bmx Nic Bonner and Preston Levi share lines at the park and session street spots in the mile high city. I’ve been lucky enough to see Nic and Preston continue to kill it on a bike since the early days of the Jackson house. Both are native Denver locals who after many years reside in the same place again. Working with Pusher Bmx we set out to capture some of the huge list of tricks these two bring to the table. Neither Nic or Preston lack in bike skills or personality, and this edit shows a little of that. I don’t think I’m going to far to say these are two of my favorite riders to watch.” – The Community Project

Boicott 2014

September 5, 2014

Now this is what it’s all about! Loading up with a ton of friends and hitting the road to ride spots and have a good time! Although this mostly covers just the riding aspect, it sounds like they had a ton of amazing times off the bike as well based off the text! Highly suggest you check this out!

“Since the beginning of Boicott, Ryan Davis has continued to follow a yearly tradition of bikes, beer, and camping. Every year more people jump in on the trip, adding to the already long caravan of riders and cars from all over North America. For many of the veterans who travel from as far as Alberta, Canada and Southern California this trip is absolute in their summer plans. Ryan has explained the many ways they have celebrated Boicott over the years, including a jam at the somewhat famous Slab City east of San Diego in the desert. With the change in surroundings from earlier days, Oregon has become the landscape for these trips. The amount of concrete that spreads across the state has no problems occupying 30+ people with thrills and chills all weekend, so for the past few years the annual trip has followed a loop down the I-5 corridor, cutting over the Oregon Coastal Mountain Range, and finding its way back up the 101 along the wild coastlines. Some of the highlights of this year included several awesome concrete parks, some of the best groomed dirt in Oregon, camping on the banks of the Umpqua River, Cold morning swims, Flabongos, Scary Skytracks and the east coasters who conquered them, Nick Vergillo laughs, beach front fires and phosphorescent shrimp, Matty Q Airs, free slurpy vouchers from the cops, meeting so many rad new people and the site of these small Oregon towns faced with a full invasion of dirty BMXers. With no serous injuries or trouble with the locals the roadtrip can be said to be a huge success.I’m already looking forward to what next year will bring. Another Boicott weekend in the bag..

The Trif3cta – Andy Merrall

July 3, 2014

The Community Project is working on a new series called “The Trif3cta” which follows a rider to 3 of their favorite spots in a day. The first episode features Portland’s Andy Merral, who has been calling the city and its local parks home for many years. With age comes experience and Andy has all the lines at his favorite parks figured out! Take a peek at this first episode!

“This is the premiere episode of the new series from the Community Project, TRIF3CTA. The concept is simple. One rider, one day, three spots of their choosing to film an edit.
When Anthony first pitched this idea, Andy Merrall’s name instantly came up. In fact his name came up in more than a few conversations discussing this series. It seemed pretty unanimous to ask him to be the one for the first episode. For many people in the Northwest and beyond Andy has a reputation for original park lines and style, so we were pretty excited when he accepted.
He chose the infamous Burnside Skatepark to start off the day, with Tigard, and St. Helens to follow. After 12 hours of traveling, riding, and drying up parks we ended the day confident with what we had. So with all of that in mind, we would like to introduce you to TRIF3CTA, Part 1. Remember to keep an eye out for more content like this coming up on thecommunityproject.tv .
Riders:
Andy Merrall
