After a few months of being on Mutant Bikes, word slipped out that Daniel “Naran” Penafiel had a signature frame and bars in the works. If you haven’t noticed, the guys at Mutant are always doing some unique things with their products, so this definitely caught my attention. Daniel has been testing prototypes of the frame, bars and a few other items so we figured it would be a perfect time to take a closer look at his setup and find out what we can expect from the Tizona line that’s due out early next year. To say the Vans team had a productive weekend at the X-Games, would probably be an understatement. Check out Scotty Cranmer, Chase Hawk, Bruno Hoffmann, Gary Young, Coco Zurita, Kyle Baldock, Sean Sexton, Dakota Roche, Pat Casey Dennis McCoy and Simon Tabron all throwing down.

“ To celebrate the 10 Year anniversary of the Shadow Conspiracy, and in anticipation of the upcoming Shadow X Vans collab shoes, the Shadow/Vans team will be at Dan’s Comp in Mt Vernon, Indiana this Saturday, riding and hanging out. We built a bunch of new obstacles for this first time ever event (hard to believe, right?) and the setup is legit. There will be free gear, and you can ride with the crew, including the winner of the big Shadow X Vans giveaway and the punker you love to hate, Dan’s Comp team rider Trey Jones. Gonna be a hot one–wear shorts.
