One of the biggest and most important parts of keeping up with BMX and running this site is communication. There are a lot of people involved in BMX that are good to keep up with, especially the guys who are making things happen. Over the past two or so years, one guy who I have always stayed in contact with is Paul Robinson. Paul’s name might look familiar because he’s been a huge driving force behind a lot of the projects you have seen between Wethepeople, Eclat and Almond. I mean, who do you think has been in charge of getting the Eclat team all around the world lately? Between all of his different roles he handles on a day-to-day between all of the brands, Paul is also a really talented photographer, which he will never admit to. I figured if you wanted to get a better understanding of just what it’s like to work in the industry, I think his job would be one that’s good to look at to understand that you need to be on your stuff and versatile enough to handle anything that comes your way. Let’s get to know this guy a little better…
Wethepeople – Frame Focus: Patron Frame
I don’t know if I’m the only one that does this, but at any given time I have a mental list of frames that I’d like to get if my current frame cracked/was stolen, etc. Last year’s Wethepeople Patron was on that list, and this year’s model seems to be even better. Check out the explanation of this year’s improvements and get a few riding clips as well.

Andrew White Announced as the New Wethepeople Team Manager
Here’s some interesting news for you. Chester Blacksmith has decided to step down as the team manager of the Wethepeople team to focus solely on being a pro rider on the team. They have announced that photographer, Andrew White, will be stepping up to bat to fill his shoes. Check out the whole story below! Should be an awesome fit for the job though! Hell yeah, Andrew!
“As many of you know the role of Team Manager for the WETHEPEOPLE Pro and Flow team has been left in the safe yet dangerous hands of Chester Blacksmith. For many years now Chet has done an incredible job and taken the team on many wild adventures through Europe, North and South America. Chester explained to me recently how it was time for him to pass on the baton and concentrate fully on being a pro rider for WETHEPEOPLE. I for one understand fully, it’s not always easy trying to juggle both of these responsibilities and if you ride anything like Chester then you might have some understanding about how sometimes these two responsibilities can clash.
This decision, he felt was a difficult one but what made it a lot easier was that he would be able to pass that baton on to Andrew White, a friend and someone he felt could do a great job. Andrew has been a friend of mine personally since we started working together on éclat projects and after spending time with him in different parts of the world on trips, I have complete faith in him as someone who can take care of and grow the current roster of riders and keep on the identity and ethos of this incredible brand secure.
We are happy and excited to welcome Andrew into the family and as we slowly come up on the start of another year we are looking forward to everything that’s to come.” – Paul Robinson / Wethepeople
