Regenerations

December 26, 2019

When you start getting older, it’s always rad to see the younger generation of riders starting to take things, pushing riding to new levels. Viki Gomez and Sevisual teamed up for this video showing the future of flatland over in Japan! Many of the featured kids in this video are on 18″ bikes and the stuff they are doing is unreal for their age! When they’re getting this good at such a young age, you can only imagine what the future may hold. This also features a ton of amazing riding from Yu and Ryo Katagiri who are absolutely crushing it at 19, and even riding from the “old guys” Yohei Uchino and Viki Gomez, too! Hit play and take it all in!

“A new generation of young riders inspired by older generations are regenerating BMX Flatland.
Their riding regenerates our riding.
This video is dedicated to them!

Riders:
Yu Katagiri

We’ve seen a lot of interesting collaborations in BMX over the years, but this is definitely an interesting one. Red Bull teamed up Terry Adams, Matthias Dandois, Viki Gomez, Benjamin Hudson, and Yohei Uchino with the 2nd Line marching band for some music and demos down the streets of New Orleans! Check out the video below to see everything that went down! Looks like this was a real good time to us!

“Before Voodoo Jam (the biggest flatland event in the US) kicked off, Terry Adams, Matthias Dandois, Viki Gomez, Benjamin Hudson, and Yohei Uchino took part in Red Bull 2nd Line, a one of a kind marching band down historic Royal Street in New Orleans. Always dope to see BMX in places you’d never expect…” – Ride BMX

“I arrived in Japan today and met up with my good friend and team mate Yohei Uchino.

I filmed some stuff and this is what we came up with!
