All the good news from Yumi Tsukuda has come to an abrupt halt…
Over the past few weeks we’ve been seeing a lot of good news for Yumi Tsukuda from getting added to the Fit Bike Co. Pro Team and the Hourglass Theory crew, and just in general a lot of hype lately. It sounds like this has left a bit of a conflict with his original crew, Horiegumi, since they’ve now disbanded. They announced the news with one last video featuring Yumi cruising since the start of the crew on up through recent clips. Take a look at the video below, and then get the scoop on what lead to the decision to end the Horiegumi crew…
“About 5 years ago, I met Yumi at Horie beach in Ehime-Prefecture, Japan.
From that day we rode and shred time all day.
The secound year, Yumi said he wants to make a crew and thats the beginning of HORIEGUMI.
When I saw his riding I had a big impact on me and got images and ideas for filming.
So I bought a used TRV900 immediately and started filming at the beach side and the city of Ehime.
And I had been making a lot of HORIVIDEOS.
Now I moved to Tokyo with Yumi, and I made lots of videos as a video production for
Alive, Fit, Merritt and Monster with Yumi, Pegy and OSO.
Unfortunately Yumi has decided to leave HORIEGUMI.
Because he wants to forcous riding as a professional rider and to do what best for himself.
So we have decided to break up.
I will going to start a new video project with Pegy and with our friend in all over the world.

It would appear Yumi Tsukuda has been a hot commodity as of late! First he was added to the Fit Bike Co. Pro team, now it looks like he’s also representing The Hourglass Theory. Here’s his welcome edit that’s loaded with style and cruising on spots during his recent visit to California.
“I think it goes without saying, Yumi Tsukuda is one of the most influential riders of our time and it humbles me to welcome him to TheHourglassTheory. Working on “Sunshine” with Yumi was such a pleasure, from his amazing personality to all the style he brings into every part of his life. It leaves me at a loss of words. It seems like Yumi Tsukuda came out of nowhere and blown up over the course of just a few weeks! During a recent trip to California, Fit Bike Co. bumped Yumi on up to the Pro Team, and it has been raining Yumi footage ever since! Here’s a new Instagram compilation from one of Yumi’s fans that gives you a look at a bunch of footage spanning from 2017 through 2018. The little bar in the middle and the yellow text on the side are annoying, but there’s plenty of great riding to take in. Check it!

Yumi Tsukuda had a productive trip to California!
During a month long visit to California from his home in Japan, Yumi Tsukuda spent his days out cruising spots and stacking clips with the Fit Bike Co team. During his stay, Fit was so impressed with him, they decided to bump him on up to the Fit Bike Co. Pro Team! Hit play to check out this fresh video from Yumi’s stay that is packed with some creative and unique riding that makes for a great watch!
“Yumi Tsukuda’s unique approach to modern-day street riding first caught our eye via Instagram, earning the then 19-year-old a spot on our International Flow Team in March of 2017. In January of this year, he booked himself a ticket from Tokyo to Long Beach to meet the team and ride for a month.
Yumi instantly vibed with the crew, and his style, creativity and motivation paired with his awesome attitude, led the team to a unanimous decision to put him on PRO before he went home to Japan.
