This sounds real interesting. Kay Beutling and his buddy Oliver are going to be working on this project that I’m sure you will be hearing more about as the year progresses.

THE PAVEMENT EXPERIMENT

A VIDEO EXPERIMENT FEATURING GERMANYS FINEST RIDERS IN HD AND SD – THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
BROADCASTED FROM THE PAVEMENTS OF GERMANY

Nowadays BMX is all about the visual output and our time is dominated by web videos. Everyday more and more awesome, good and also not so good web videos hit the web. In a fast moving time like this, there are still people who appreciate and anticipate a good old full length DVD. More Companies start putting out DVD’s again. Don’t call it a comeback but a few years back there where only DVD’s. The feeling of having a brand new DVD in your hand, not knowing what you are about to see is for most people, who are in the game longer then 3 years, truly amazing.

This is where the Pavement Experiment kicks in. We had the idea to do things differently and instead of pumping out web edits every month we decided to join forces and release a full DVD by end of the year. We picked some of our favorite riders and friends and decided to see where this experiment will take us. The idea behind the Pavement Experiment is to broadcast some of the finest street riders from Germany through a DVD. Germany has a big portion of talent and the scene is buzzing right now.

Another idea behind the Pavement Experiment is also the HD vs. SD aspect. The video will be build in different parts, filmed in full HD with fancy new DSLR devices and on the other hand filmed with the good old Sony VX. We want to create a special feeling with this experiment and bring the vibe from the sessions to you. The Pavement Experiment will take us on sessions with riders like, Fabian Roethlisberger, Dennis Kicza, Bjoern Elvering, Jan Beckmann, Dennis Erhardt, Bruno Hoffmann and many more.

In the end we decided to enter this experiment to get drunk at our own premiere, but that’s a different story.
