Over the years we’ve seen titanium make appearances on frames and parts from Eastern Bikes with the first go at titanium frames to Laird frames offering full custom titanium frames, and RNC’s line of titanium parts and more as a few examples. The weight advantages are significant while only sacrificing some strength compared to chromoly. However, price typically has been the real deciding factor for most people when it comes to going with a titanium product. Although it’s expensive, there are new options out there called from a brand Wild Child that offer a full line of frames and parts all made with titanium. They initially started with a focus on the smaller 16″ to 18″ sizes, but have since added a full line of 20″ frames and parts as well. Here’s a video Dan’s Comp released as an introduction to the brand that tells their story and gives you a look at what they make. It’s definitely interesting to see a brand go all in on titanium again, and we’re looking forward to seeing where things go.
“Titanium BMX parts have come a long way, and Wild Child BMX is pushing things forward in a big way. We sat down with owner Ross Champion to talk about the story behind the Game Changer frame, fork, and bars, the evolution of titanium in BMX, and working with Cullen Sumner and the Dan’s Comp team. This is an inside look at a rising brand within the BMX industry.
Wild Child BMX parts are now available at Dan’s Comp!”
