If you’re new to working on a BMX bike, there’s a chance you probably didn’t think about all the different parts of the bike you should or should no grease. There’s a number of bolts and metal on metal contact points that do need grease, but there are also a handful of places like your bars and your stem that you do NOT want to grease. Here’s a video Brant Moore going in-depth taking a look at all of the different places you should use grease while pointing out places you shouldn’t.
