A little later than planned, but that’s okay! Here’s the Video Recap featuring all of the best videos that popped up in the Daily Section from last week in one place. This past week was a hell of a good one with a bunch of dialed BMX videos from riders like Florent Soulas, Brian Kachinsky, Mike Curley, Fathead, Mat Hoffman, Van Homan, Josh Heino, Shawn “Elf” Walters, Mike Vockenson, Mike Brennan, Anthony Perrin and more! There were also a few new tricks that were dropped this week that will blow your mind. Check it all out!
I think it’s fair to say that Anthony Perrin’s welcome to the Vans France pro team earned the top spot this week. Everything from the riding to the filming and editing is so good. Anthony has really killed it the last year or so, so I’m especially stoked to see him getting the bump up. Expect more from this guy in the future.
“Today we’re more than happy to welcome Anthony Perrin in our French Pro Team. Anthony is definitely the young French shredder that all the TMs would like to have in his team.
It took a long time to film this part since he started the first session in August but it was the minimum to show you what his able to do. You’ve already seen some bangers in the last Redbull Edit with Bruno Hoffman few weeks ago so you know what’s going on after the jump.
Anthony will ride for VANS Footwear and Apparel.”
Can you really ever go wrong with some fresh Florent Soulas footage? I always get so pumped when I see his name pop up, that’s for sure. This new Fit Bike Co. edit might have been filmed on an iPhone, but the quality is real good… Check it!
Filmed and edited by Florent Soulas
Mat Hoffman has been making the weekly list for the past few weeks now due to all of the videos he has been pumping out lately. It’s been so good seeing all of this new footage popping up. This week I was especially stoked since this time around it included some fresh Van Homan footage who is finally back on it after breaking his leg last year. Two legends in one edit? Double whammy.
Let’s keep this legend theme going for another one. Props uploaded Brian Kachinsky’s winning part from the old Aspire Video Contest from around 2004. This is one of the parts that really put Brian’s name out there and I can’t help but get stoked seeing footage from all these legendary midwest skateparks that are no longer around. Epic.
“Section took 1st place in the Aspire video contest, circa 2004.”
I’m not sure if this is the actual longest nose manual ever, but Mike Curley put some serious distance in on this clip that Woozy uploaded. Wild none the less.
Can You Dig It dropped their first ever exclusive edit this past week and it was a banger. Tom Arkus from Vinyl compiled a bunch of damn good footage he had stacked away for this and it’s nothing short of pure trails goodness. Enjoy!
“Featuring Riders:
Doug Richie, Mark & Mike Potoczny, Tom Arkus, Denis Mowgly, Quinton, Marc “Banos”, Benjamin Cobat, Tom Dillon, Kris Fox and David Leep
Produced By: Tom Arkus
Filmed In: Pittsburgh, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Banos, Paris”
Fathead has been on fire lately. S&M dropped this promo video for his signature bars that are out now. I want to see this guy and Big Daddy in a room together. I feel like all hell would break loose.
“To celebrate his signature bars coming out this week, your new favorite rider went out with Coxie for a few days and filmed this edit. “Tough Guys” by Cock SParrer”
A while back, Charlie Gumley did the “Twix” for the first time in a single clip edit like this before. It looks like he’s got it dialed in now because he pulled it perfectly clean on a quarter pipe now. A barspin and tailwhip at the same time. I honestly thought of this trick when I was like 15 and never thought it would be possible. I was wrong.
Here’s another first. Liam Quinlivan down in Australia pulled this new trick he’s calling the “Inward”. It’s essentially BMX version of the scooter trick called a Bry flip or something. Either way, it’s pretty wild. Somebody also pointed out that Mark Webb did a similar trick to this except he takes his hand off. Pretty wild regardless.
Not sure what this guys name is… But the title is “One Two Don’t Eat Your Poo”… So that’s pretty funny. But in reality, this video is screaming creativity and originality. I am really stoked on this since it’s so different compared to 98% of the videos that are coming out these days. Plus, I haven’t seen a Vander Roll in ages!
Wethepople have dropped a few more sections from the “ETC” video this past week that I’d suggest you hit their website up to check out. I picked this one from Josh Heino to feature just because there’s so many gnarly ass clips in this. Absolute legend.
“The last part on the Wethepeople ETC video first released in 2004. Josh Heino ripped apart most of California and finsihed off the video in true beast mode.
You can watch all the parts from the ETC. video right here

Ah man… I miss the old Shook videos after seeing this. Shawn “Elf” Walters uploaded his old section from the “Like Totally” video for your viewing pleasure. This is like, totally awesome… Yeah, I know, that was cheesy… Shut it… Hit play.
Not sure how these clips could even be considered “leftovers”… They’re damn good! Mike Brennan coming through hot with a new edit for Merritt BMX!
“A few clips Mike had from last year that never got used but didn’t want to go to waste”
I’m a huge, huge fan of Jack Birtles’ work. He could probably make a video of a flaming bag of dog shit and I’d think it was awesome. Lucky for us, we don’t have flaming dog shit, we have some real good riding from Daniel Watson for this new video!
“A bunch of Dan footage I acquired from our adventures over the last few years!!
Soundtrack – “Too many fish in the sea” The Marvelettes
Big thanks to Drew Raison for the opening graphic!
enjoy!”
I’m getting real excited for the new Dan’s Comp DVD. They have been dropping these quick edits for a while to get people stoked and it’s all clearly warm up footage… But it’s awesome. Here’s their newest video featuring Tony Hamlin, Stevie Churchill and Devon Smillie getting in a quick skateplaza session in Arizona with a guest appearance from Drew Hosselton!
“Join Tony Hamlin, Devon Smillie, and Stevie Churchill as they session the Chavez skate plaza in Phoenix, AZ. Devon couldn’t ride due to an injury, so he clocked in on his skateboard. Filmed and edited by Stew Johnson for Dan’s Comp. Dan’s Comp DVD in the works, look for it in 2013!

“What more can be said about Australian Shadow rider Mike Vockenson that hasn’t already been said? The dude is an absolute killer on the streets and rides with a unique style and personality that only he can call his own. Check out his latest edit for some original lines and monstrous drops. You won’t be disappointed.” – The Shadow Conspiracy
Let’s wrap this up with a good one… Well… All of these videos are good, but you get what I mean. Here’s Tom Smith’s part from the Empire “Bad Idea” video courtesy of Collateral. Nose Balance on lock.
