I’m not really sure where time has been going lately, but it’s been flying. Another week has passed and it’s already time for a new Video Recap. I went through the 170 or so posts from the past week in the Daily Section and picked out some of the best videos for you guys to check out. This week we’ve got 16 videos featuring Ruben Alcantara, Matt Roe, Jason Enns, Ryan “Biz” Jordan, Tammy McCarley, Corey Bohan, Steven Hamilton, Stefan Lantschner, Rob DiQuattro, Paul Ryan, Anthony Napolitan, Lahsaan Kobza, Scotty Cranmer, Arnaud Wolff, Nick Bullen, Chase DeHart and more for you to check out. So let’s get into it!

Kicking off this weeks list, I’ve picked this video Joe Rich put together featuring footage of Ruben Alcantara that’s 10 years old. This footage is a huge reminder to me what got me hooked on BMX when I was a lot younger and why, even to this day, Ruben is my favorite rider of all time. This is what BMX is all about.

Welcome to a blast from the past… Rewind 10 years, and we’ll be in the time frame of what you are about to watch. All of this stuff is so good, and even watching it now reminds me yet again that Ruben can, and always has, been able to do anything that he wants to. Most of the footage in this next edit went towards Ruben’s part in an old Macneil video Stew Johnson put together back in early 2004. At the time, I was just learning how to use Final Cut Pro, and Ruben was riding for Macneil. We were also room mates at the time. So for fun, Ruben gave me some of his footage to play around with during the early days of my thirst for editing. It was a great learning experience for me and I felt lucky to have had Ruben be so generous to me. This edit of course never saw the light of day until now. I figured, well… it’s been 10 years, so it certainly can’t harm anything. “Gimme Danger”, by Iggy and the Stooges was the music track of choice. And my little intro animation came from a photo I stole out of Ruben’s room on one of my early visits to Malaga. So yeah, that’s actually him doing the flip at the beginning. And yeah, I couldn’t even spell his name right either. Definitely a learning experience, ha ha. Enjoy.” – Joe Rich

Demolition dropped this new edit featuring Jason Enns and Ryan “Biz” Jordan showing you they are still on it after all these years. Legends for sure.

I Instagramed a photo of this edit in progress the other day and O.G. Demolition filmer/editor Glen PP commented on it saying sarcastically, “Jason and Biz ride together….no way!!?” Yes, for anyone who follows either of these two even remotely close it’s obviously not exactly earth shattering information. However, we thought that was all the more reason for them to go in on a split edit together. With very different personalities, riding styles, bike setups, taste in mini horses, you name it…one thing that really shines thru here is how much both of these dudes have simply loved riding bikes together for all these years, and subsequently have become great friends in the process. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Enns & Biz show. -Mastroni

Rob DiQuattro has been on FIRE lately. Here’s his highly anticipated welcome to the Mankind edit.

Mankind proudly welcomes Rob DiQuattro (from the infamous HOOD ANTICS) to the US team! Rob spent the past few months traveling with friends, slaying rails and filming for this welcome edit. Filmed by the homies in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, Colorado, Oregon and Texas. Mankind teammate, Jeff Klugiewicz, commented “I have always been a Rob D. fan… He’ll be putting his pegs on anything in front of him, and I’m looking forward to riding with him more this year. I know traveling and filming with him on Mankind trips will be a blast!”.

Anthony Napolitan hasn’t really dropped an edit like this in quite a while. I want to say it’s been over a year, but I could be wrong. Either way, it looks like he’s all healed back up and fully on it. Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more edits like this from Anthony in the future.

From getting kicked out of Volcom park to having bad sun positioning at Blue Bench. From offset trips to ankle surgery, Anthony and I had to work for this one. In the end it was worth it and and we’re both stoked on how it came out.
Special thanks to RedBull for having us on set at Kluge and Heath Pinter and Mike Saavedra for letting us shoot at their respective trails.

Nick Bullen is one of those riders that has really been making a name for him self this past year. This new Subrosa edit makes it pretty clear he’s not slowing down any time soon.

Subrosa Skeleton Crew rider Nick Bullen kills it on this one! Nick wanted to take some time and put real work in and that is clear. Let it load, and turn it up. Nick Bullen time.

Good things happen when you combine awesome spots with Matt Roe and filmer Richard Forne. I seriously need to get to Malaga someday.

Classic Steven Hamilton footage? Hell yeah. Thank you DIG and Peter Adam!

Following on from our full interview in the recent DIG 92 with one of BMX’s most progressive and controversial riders, we look back at a classic period in Steven Hamilton’s life when he got his first DIG interview, his crazy section in Federal’s ‘Trafelio’ was released, and the world really took notice of just how good this guy was.

You may recognise some of these clips from ‘Trafelio’ and the Tip Plus video, but Peter Adam wanted to share a flavour of what else was going on during their week long stay in San Francisco.

Paul Ryan was all over the place last year. This video features some of the footage he collected throughout the year for Mongoose. Needless to say this turned out real good.

Paul put in a few miles over 2012 visiting South Africa, Portugal, Wales and his home town Liverpool in search of spots
Hope you enjoy #goexplore

This new video featuring Adrien Lecomte is amazing all around. The places they set up the quarter pipe are super unique and the filming and editing is so good. This is a damn good watch.

Woozy BMX compiled some of Stefan Lantschner’s best footage from 2011 and 2012 and put it all together into this one edit. Style, style and more style! Love this stuff.

There have been some pretty interesting sponsor shake ups for 2013. Corey Bohan stepped away from The Set and because of it, we ended up with this rad edit. Can’t wait for the next season of Wizard of Aus…

The style master blaster hits up Heath Pinters yard and Queenstown New Zealand from when the guys were there filming for Coreys Wizard of Aus episode 3 . This is Coreys farewell edit we could say we’ll be missing him but it aint like we won’t be hanging out. Wishing ya all the best mate! Filmed and edited by Calvin Kosovich.

Lahsaan Kobza spent his nights stacking clips for this new Shadow Conspiracy edit and it ended up turning out real good. Good vibe and plenty of awesome riding for sure.

There is something special about riding and filming at night. Whether it being trying to find that perfectly lit spot or the way a generator sounds in the background of footage, night sessions always feel different. Lahsaan Kobza and Phoenix based filmer Bobby Kanode teamed up to capture this perfectly. Enjoy

Guest riding from Tammy McCarley and Phoenix Pat King

Tammy McCarley is kicking 2013 off to a real good start. Check out this welcome to Federal edit that’s jam packed with heat.

Tammy McCarley comes through for his welcome to the team edit. Tammy seriously kills it in this and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us in 2013.

Huge thanks to Drew and Dave once again, they pulled though always leaving me impressed. Drew and I put in some major work this year, we managed to do a Hunt DVD part along with this mix. 2012 was crazy; from run-ins with the law, meeting awesome new people, graduating from college and getting to ride my bike more than ever. Cant ask for more. Thanks to anyone who was down to help me film this video. 2013 should be fun.
