After a week hiatus, the Video Recap is back! Things fell through the cracks last weekend, but we’re making up for it this week. I’ve gone through the Daily Section and compiled 18 of the best videos from the past week all into one place… and damn is this week stacked. We’ve got videos featuring Brian Foster, Ashley Charles, Kevin Kiraly, Waldemar Faktkin, Ryan Taylor, Jack Birtles, Stevie Churchill, Alex Hiam, Bruno Hoffmann, Mike Curley and MANY, MANY more. You’re going to want to take this all in for sure.
I had a super hard time deciding on the top spot for this week. I would have put 3 or 4 in the spot… but this isn’t most sports now days that won’t award a first place because feelings will get hurt… I stuck with my personal favorite… Bruno Hoffmann absolutely killing it for Federal in Tel Aviv and Barcelona!
“Bruno went away to war ridden Tel Aviv to film for this Federal edit, but with too many incoming missiles he decided to finish off in the less hostile Barcelona.

Words cannot explain how god damn insane Stevie Churchill’s riding has been getting. It seems like every time a new edit drops he’s 10x more insane than the previous and that’s saying a lot because he’s on a whole different planet with his riding. This welcome to OSS edit is so wild.
“Stevie Churchill’s introductory OSS web video. Follow @onsomeshit. Shirts available from http://www.thecomeup.bigcartel.com
Filmed by Mike Mastroni, edited by Charlie Crumlish.”
Over the past few months, Alex Hiam has dropped a few wild edits stating that they were “leftovers for another edit” that he was working on. I had a feeling he was stacking clips for this new Colony edit… but damn my mind couldn’t even come up with half the things he does in this.
“Make sure you watch this in HD!
We spent the past 6 months filming this web video in between injuries Alex had. We hope you enjoy this video and you can check out more info about his signature frame here.. http://direct.colonybmx.com.au/produc…

Kevin Kiraly had been stacking clips for this new Macneil edit for quite a while. If you’re familiar with Kevin’s riding, you know he’s insanely dialed, but you also would know he likes to take his time and produce banger video part quality edits instead of pumping out edit after edit like a lot dudes. All I know is the wait was worthwhile.
“This has been in the works for a while now and we’re all really psyched on how it came out. Adam at The Come Up wanted to work on an exclusive edit and we also wanted to to celebrate the release of Kevin’s signature Varsity frame, so why not kill two birds with one stone? Kevin put in work on this edit and it shows; so many heavy moves! Kevin’s signature Varsity frame is shipping worldwide as you read this and you can get all of the details on it in a flipbook that we put together for it at the link below. Enjoy the edit and start bugging your local bike shop to order your Varsity frame today! Filmed and edited by Justin Burns.”
Any time Matt Brown drops an email on me, I get stoked. Matt’s one of my personal favorite film makers in BMX due to the quality and diversity of his work. This video is a compilation of footage from a handful of edits he’s done along with some unseen footage. There’s clips from countries and riders from all over the world and that’s what makes this special. I wish I was living this guys life.
“Bicycle stunts preformed all over the world by:
Ruben Alcantera, Paul Barnum, Bengo, Matthias Dandois, Edwin De La Rosa, Phil Demattia, Scott Ditchburn, Captain Fun, Matt Glover, Viki Gomez, Tony Hamlin, Christian Hewett
Neil Hise, Eric Holladay, Kenny Horton, Jambul, Kevin Keller, Luc Legrand, Libellule, Chad Phaire, Ralphy Ramos, Josh Roberts, Paul Ryan, Augie Simoncini, Oba Stanley, Rob Tibbs, Willie Beljio and Wormz

Cooper Brownlee is a man of hustle. I can’t comprehend how he manages to do as much as he does in a day, but he does. Any time these new The Package videos from Focalpoint drop, I stop anything I’m doing and hit play. This one is definitely worth the time. Enjoy.
“Riders: Sam Illman, Daniel Johnson, Luke Vandenberg, Marnold, Cooper Brownlee, Lachy Swanton, Mick Bayzand, Alex Bolton, Phil Del Tito, Troy Charlesworth, Kym Grosser, Barney, Chirs Finnigan, Kevin kiraly and Jack Kelly.

This is one of those feel good edits that get you so stoked on BMX… Proper Bike Co. are doing things right.
“We started trying to compile a ‘best of’ 2012 edit but discovered a ton of unused clips and ended up with this……a true mixtape with clips from Amsterdam, Lille, Porto, Paris, Bilbao, and various UK spots.
Featuring (in order of appearance); Shaun Jinks, Max Wood, Jamie Guile, Janis Cunculis, Joris Coulomb, Mike Miller, Gav Shortall, and Sam Cunningham.
These will be the last clips on Proper for Joris and also Gav Shortall.
Gav has been on the team since before Megatour 5 (2006) but has been concentrating more and more on his studies studies recently. We wish there was a few words to wrap up Gavin as a rider/person but there isn’t so we’ll keep it simple. Thanks Gav – see you soon.
Thanks to Janis Cunculis, Sam Cunningham and Clark Thurman for helping out shooting clips!

When was the last time Jack Birtles produced something that didn’t make you jealous of his life? Damn this is good.
“Daniel Watson and Myself took a trip to Queenstown, NewZealand for a week and these are a few moments I managed to capture, enjoy!

The Radio Bikes crew recently got to spend some time where ALL of us covered in ice and snow wish we could be. They came back with this video to make us jealous, haha.
“We all know the winter is not the best time for a BMX rider …and that was our reason to go on a trip to Barcelona/Spain. 25 degrees each and every day, with clear blue skys, it was a perfect decision. Barcelona is full of different kinds of spots to ride, which suited our team, with their different riding styles, so sit back and enjoy one week of street, park, bowl and dirt riding.

The wait has been killing everyone, but it looks like the Subrosa “Get Used To It” DVD is finally finishing up and will be premiering at Simple Session here in a few weeks. This is going to be wild. Can’t wait to see it.
“It’s been a long road, but a road I’d drive down again and again with the Subrosa team! I’m very proud to announce that we’ll be premiering the highly anticipated first full-length video from Subrosa at Simple Session 13! Simple Session is one of the most anticipated contests of the year, and we couldn’t be happier to sponsor the contest, and premiere the video along with all the events that happen during the weekend.
G.U.T.I. features full sections from Hoang Tran, Simone Barraco, Lahsaan Kobza, Scott Ditchburn, Mark Mulville, Kyle Hart, Joris Coulomb and The Skeleton Crew!
The editing for the video has been handed off to Ryan Chadwick, and I seriously can’t believe how well he is representing the riders, their efforts, and Subrosa as a whole. I can not wait to show the world this video!
We will be releasing more dates for more worldwide and U.S. premieres soon, along with info on when the video will be for sale. G.U.T.I. will be released as a digital download and on DVD for those that want to add to their video collections.
Thanks to everyone involved, and if you’re at Simple Session 13 be ready to get loose! Here is the final trailer from Get Used To It. Fuck yes!”

Brian Foster Winter Escape – More BMX Videos
Let’s wrap this one up with a legend. Check out Brian Foster getting some time in at the Incline Club. It’s always a treat seeing fresh footage of Brian and it’s even better seeing him really getting back into the groove of things after time off with the blown out knee. I just can’t wait till he can get back outside to ride trails… That’s the footage I want to see.
