Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” – Intro & Thomas Henderson Section

The Weird & Revered crew up in Canada have decided to start releasing sections from their “Vagabond Squad” DVD online for your viewing pleasure. To kick things off, we get the intro and Thomas Henderson‘s section to kick things off. This video was filmed over the course of 3 years with a ton of miles logged along the way. Thomas’ section is loaded with laughs, high speed gaps and wallrides, spins down stair sets, grinds and more from a ton of different street spots and parks. This is a real good watch, so get on that play button! You won’t be disappointed.

“Vagabond Squad” is a full-length video from Canada’s Weird & Revered crew. Filmed from 2016 to 2019, the project is community rooted with a strong focus on the Edmonton BMX scene. Although a majority of the clips are from the crew’s home city, the footage spans 9 countries, 8 American states, and 4 Canadian provinces and territories.

First up in our release of sections from Vagabond Squad is Thomas Henderson.” – DIG

Thomas is one of my best friends. We have known each other for 12 years. Long before the Weird & Revered crew existed, we were riding together and travelling together. Over time as the crew formed, Thomas began to occupy a variety of key roles: Stuntman, entertainer, comedian, critic, competitor, hype man, cameraman, etc. Many of these roles and phases were captured during the 3 years of filming the DVD. For me, videos are time capsules for points in our lives. They showcase a specific time period and anything that comes after will—to some extent—be different. These days, Thomas is more busy than ever running a small, successful plumbing business. He may not be out riding as much as before, and he may not occupy the exact same roles as he did before, but that’s not a bad thing. Life is fluid. I just feel blessed to catalog the phases. This 3-year phase of Thomas’s life involved plenty of travelling, comedic acts, manual lines, wallrides, and gaps. I’m excited to see what the next phase brings.” ” – Justin Schwanke
