The 2024 X Games officially kicked off yesterday in Ventura, California and one of the first events to go down was the elimination round of the BMX Dirt contest. They’re having 15 (it was 16 but it looks like Andy Buckworth got hurt in practice. Not sure if they didn’t have an alternate available?) riders throw down to see which 8 riders will be going into the final round. Check out everything that went down in this live replay!
“How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 16 athletes competing with two runs each. Best run counts, scored 1-100. Top 8 athletes from the elimination will advance to the final. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.” – X Games
