It’s March 1st and Brian Tunney has a new one to check out!

One more month down, one more month closer to warm weather! Brian Tunney keeping the monthly edits from his flatland sessions going! Here’s a look at what the got into in his garage over the course of February! Plenty of real solid riding, along with a little singing mid combo! Take a look.

February in Austin literally started off with an ice storm: roughly 3-5 days of freezing temperatures, downed tree limbs, no electricity for a lot of people (we managed to squeeze by) and icy roads basically shut everything down for the first week of February.

Then it ended, and almost 28 days later, I was riding in shorts and sweating profusely. “Talk about the weather or how the weather used to be” said John K. Samson of The Weakerthans once upon a time.

February is almost a repeat of January, except I tried to do a few more pinky squeaks in the first part of the trick. Pinky squeaks are almost a forgotten art and though there are several masters out there (Scott Powell, Chase, Paul Osicka to name a few), you don’t see a lot of them anymore. My aim with this month was to try to do 2-3 in each trick and see how it felt. The result: they are still pretty hard and take a lot of concentration and focused breathing to do well. (I do this silly thing where I hold my breath during a lot of tricks and I’m trying to break that.) This video is the result of my February pinky squeak challenge, minus a few days for an ice storm and a trip to New Orleans/Florida. So, this is two weeks of riding basically, ending with an abrupt camera fall.
