The other day, we came across a section from a video that Bobby Parker had put together back in 2007 for the Burly Jam featuring a TON of Midwest parks and street. After the first one got tossed around like a beach ball at a Nickelback concert, he decided to put all of the sections from the video up online for us to enjoy. I’ve embedded each section from the video after the jump for you to enjoy, so if you’re looking for some Midwest gold, this is where you want to look! I can’t believe this video is already 7 years old…

This is the intro section for the Burly Jam Video shown at the 2007 Burly Jam. These are assorted clips that were gathered from “Pre-Burly Jams” that were thrown at various locations across the Midwest. The “Pre-Jams” were held to hype up the final Burly Jam held in Burlington, IA at “The Burly Park.” The first “Pre-Jam” was at Saylor Skatepark in Des Moines, IA. Then a trail jam at Chicken Trails in Dubuque, IA. Then at Rampriders Skatepark in St. Louis, MO. As well as a jam at Skate Church in Davenport, IA. and the last skatepark jam was held in Hannibal Missouri. There were also various group street trips taken to Madison, WI and around the greater Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, IA areas.

This is the all street section from the Burly Jam Video that premiered at the 2007 Burly Jam. These clips were filmed at various locations across the Midwest; Cedar Rapids Iowa, Madison Wisconsin, Hannibal Missouri, Quincy Illinois and Iowa City Iowa.
I let the Hannibal Crew borrow my camera for a few weeks and was totally amazed at the amount of clips they all gathered. A big shout out to Mike Rimi for filming most of the clips from the Hannibal/Quincy crew.
Please excuse the few clips with the incorrectly labeled rider names. Sorry guys, rookie moves.

Rampriders Pre-Burly Jam section for the Burly Jam Video. Featuring a bunch of St. Louis locals as well as Burly Jam friends from across the Midwest. There were so many shredders at this jam. A big thanks to all of the St. Louis locals who gave me a hand with all things jam related. Also, thanks to Rap Snacks.

Trails section to the Burly Jam Video. These trails were located in Dubuque Iowa and were called “Chicken Trails” by the locals. This was one of the best “Pre-Jams” of the year. Everyone was having a blast and people came from more than a few hour drive to come ride some jumps together.

This was the first “Pre-Jam” we had for the 2007 Burly Jam series. The “Burly Jam does not endorse this skatepark” clip came from disagreements with the skatepark owner that surfaced a few days before the jam. As you will notice, none of the riders are using pegs. This did not hold us back as it was early in the 2007 year and there was still snow on the ground. Riding no pegs with all of your friends was better than no riding at all. So the jam commenced and it was the perfect send off to all of the following Burly Pre-Jams.
Special shout out to the chick I worked with at Best Buy who had a VX2100 and came and shot some video.

The second Burly Pre-Jam was held at Skate Church in Davenport, IA. We broke the jam into different levels and sections. John Rodgers and Jeff Wescott murdered everything. Revisiting these clips is always a treat. The energy from the last jam was still alive and well inside the doors of Skate Church and the good vibes kept on rolling. The tone had been set for the rest of the Burly Pre-Jams.

This video was put together to promote the second Burly Pre-Jam at Skate Church in Davenport Iowa. The jam went down on March 31st, 2007. The clips used in this video were gathered from the 06/07 winter season of normal Skate Church sessions.

This edit was put together after most of the Burly Pre-Jams had all gone down. A good collection of awesome clips that really showcases the good times at each Pre-Jam.
