The Dutty crew hit us with a link to their latest BMX video featuring Andrew Deaker, Ben Grist, Kieran Barnbrook and Kris Bunnage putting in work on street spots and parking garages over in the U.K! These guys put their pegs to heavy use, found some unique spots and had a good time all along the way. Well worth taking a look at if we may say!

Mark Vukman sent through his latest BMX video from Hungary that is filled with a ton of clips Mark stacked over the course of 2015 at a bunch of different skateparks. This is filled with flips, whips, barspins, no handers, spins and more! If you’re looking for some real solid ramp riding, take a look at this one!

It looks like BMX will be getting a little shine time in the X-Games’ Real Series in 2016! They have added “Real BMX” to the line up, which will be aired on a one-hour special of “The World of X-Games” on ABC later this year in September! Above is a video with some information and below is more details! Any air time on national / international television is always a good thing, so we’re stoked to see what comes from this.
“After a successful 2015 campaign, X Games will host five new Real Series competitions in 2016 as part of the expanded content offerings provided by World of X Games on ABC. HOT POCKETS® brand sandwiches, has signed as the presenting sponsor for the series. For the first time, the 2016 Real Series event lineup will include Real BMX. Additionally, the Real Ski competition will shift focus this year from backcountry riding to skiing in urban environments.
Each Real Series competition will culminate in a one-hour World of X Games show that will premiere on ABC and feature behind-the-scenes athlete interviews and selection of the medalists. Like past Real Series competitions, each athlete will have the opportunity to team with an editor on the production of a video part that will present each rider in their own unique style. Each Real Series event’s videos will premiere on XGames.com where fans can watch and vote for their favorite.
The Real Series Presented by HOT POCKETS® brand sandwiches schedule for 2016 is detailed below:
• Real Ski – February 20, 2016
• Real Snow – March 12, 2016
• Real Street – May 2016
• Real Moto – August 2016
• Real BMX – September 2016
The 2016 series will begin with Real Ski, airing February 20 on ABC. Each Real Ski video part will debut on XGames.com/RealSki to be judged by a panel of industry experts. A first place cash prize will be awarded to the winner, as well as gold, silver and bronze medals for the top three athletes and their filmers. Fans will also have a chance to view and vote on their favorite video in a tournament-style bracket with the Fan Favorite winning an additional cash prize.
The six Real Ski athletes invited to compete are: Ahmet Dadali, Cam Riley, JF Houle, Tom Wallisch, Will Wesson and Clayton Vila.
The Real Snow competition will follow, with never-before-seen edits from Anto Chamberland, Zak Hale, Frank Bourgeois, Dylan Thompson, Cole Navin and Jake Welch.
“Being involved in X Games has always been my childhood dream, and it is incredible that I can now fulfill that dream without even setting foot in a traditional halfpipe or slopestyle course,” said Real Ski athlete Clayton Vila. “Filming video parts has always been such a driving force in the progression of skiing, but often the people who solely make video parts get overlooked. This event brings a whole new level of legitimacy to our sport, and is an amazing opportunity to show the world how far street skiing has progressed. For the past few years, Madera‘s Protocol HT cranks have been available in one color to help keep the costs down; matte black. Wow, it’s safe to say the scene in Jakarta, Indonesia has BLOWN UP! The Jakarta BMX crew just hit us with their latest video from the final Sunday Ride they had for 2015 and they had a HUGE turn out! Check out the video above to check out some of the highlights and random footage they collected over the course of the session! It’s rad seeing scenes like this coming together like this! Especially in places we don’t typically think of having a thriving scene.

It has been a little while since we’ve seen a BMX video from the Roulette BMX crew down south! Turns out they’ve been busy stacking clips for their “Doing It For Ross 2” video which is dedicated to Ross Clark who they lost a while back. This is 28 minutes of real solid riding and great street spots. Take a look!

Just spotted this gem over on Can You Dig It! Next time you want to say you can’t ride because it’s cold or there’s snow on the ground. Better get out that shovel or broom and make it so you can ride! Jiri Zouhar wasn’t about to let the snow keep him from taking a few laps at the Skalka trails! This is what we call dedication… I can’t imagine how much that would suck to fall on some frozen dirt though.
If you caught our posts a while back about the Proper Select Hub Guards, you would have heard that Proper were planning to add a Drive Side option to their line of Select hub guards. It looks like they have finally released the guard, which starts out with a CNC machined Ultramid Nylon with a heat-treated 4140 chromoly core. The guard fits most 9-tooth hubs (14mm male or 10mm female bolts with an adaptor that’s included) and because of the hexagon shape of the chromoly core, it helps to prevent the guard from spinning, as well as the wheel from slipping with more metal on metal surface area.
The Select Universal Drive Side Hub Guard comes in black only and is available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Proper Bike Co. now!
