Here’s a dialed one we had sent in from Russia featuring Roma Shalimov putting in work on his local street spots. This one starts out with a lot of resistance from on-lookers and cops, but once things get rolling, they get rolling. Roma is a grind wizard and knows all about mixing his freecoaster into his lines. Check out all this gold he filmed. There’s even a few snowboard clips mixed in from sessions he caught on a rail he also rides on his bike.
North Houston Is Getting A Bike Park and It’s MASSIVE

Remember a while back when there was a petition going around to get bikes into that new Houston Skatepark also known as the “Spring Skatepark” that is super big and appears to be absolutely amazing? Well, instead of getting bikes into that park, they have formed a group that has worked with the city to build their own bike park… and it’s FRICKEN HUGE. They haven’t broken ground on it just yet, but it sounds like it has gotten the go ahead and will be starting soon. We were tipped off to their FACEBOOK PAGE that gave us a look at what’s to come to North Houston and it looks amazing. They have bowls, a street plaza, trails, a full on race track and a bunch of other stuff planned. We grabbed a bunch of photos that will make you start planning a trip to Houston, Texas once it’s complete. Talk about a bright future for BMX… At least in that area.

This episode takes a behind the scenes look at Tyler Fernengel‘s battle with the Silverdome that we saw a few months back (and re-embeded below), showing some of the crashes and what it took to get the BMX video done. I bet you didn’t know Tyler’s ankles were really pissed at him for this whole project, haha. Take a look!

XSA Invitational – Official Video
We’ve seen quite a bit of footage from the XSA Invitational already, but here’s the official video from the contest showing you the madness that went down. This video has a lot of energy, so hit play and wish you were at this one.
“Here is the official video of the greatest event by XSA (https://vk.com/xsaivitational) our team BMXASHKA had the opportunity to see live. Damn it, guys, it was sick! The biggest impression was made by Larry Edgar. This dude left us speechless and we were like “How is this possible?”. We can’t even describe how insane he was.
Of course we were happy to see Pat Casey, Kevin Peraza, and it was amazing to meet Ryan Fudger who is literally showing the whole BMX scene to the world with the help of RideBMX mag. We were super stoked to see Catfish, who was able to get everyone pumped up and excited, even in a foreign language. All of this shows that there no “non-native” BMX, we’re all united, we’re one family!
It’s necessary to pay tribute to guests, who gathered to Russia from all around the world, we appreciate their bravery and we are excited to see the numbers grow. We’re happy to meet everyone and this is our Russian mentality – ”the more the merrier.”
We want to thank everyone who was able to come to Sochi from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus as well. Without you, this celebration wouldn’t have been such an amazing and beautiful event. It was nuts!
And, of course, thanks to XSA. You, guys, make history of BMX in Russia and, as we can see, our history is starting to combine with the entire history of BMX, the history of BMX for the whole world. We hope that XSA Invitational is just the beginning of our exciting future in a big HISTORY called BMX.
