The Monster Recon Tour hit up Ohio Dreams for its latest stop of the contest series and they were greeted with a ton of riders that absolutely crushed the place! Check out all of the highlights, including runs from Brett Banasiewicz, to see what went down! Looks like it was awesome!
“Trent Newkirk wins the open division at the Monster Army Recon Tour Round 3 in Butler, Ohio at the Ohio Dreams facility presented by Replay XD. As a contender in the Recon Tour finals last year, Newkirk is no stranger to the Recon Tour series and with this win will be invited back to the finals where he is definitely a regarded as a solid threat to the competition.

“When I started working on the video this was the first song I cleared knowing I wanted to use it for a friends mix section. By the time the video was done, Band of Horses had blown up and the music supervisor told me it was no longer possible to get their songs at an affordable price. So we were lucky we got it when we did. I’ve always liked the vibe of this part thanks to that song. Randy Brown and Kurt Rasmusson clips are my favorite. Also, Edwin Delarosa loves this part, he always reminds me that it’s one of his favorites so that’s pretty cool.” —Ryan Navazio

Mutiny just dropped a sneak peek look at Grant Castelluzzo’s signature Obscura frame that will be dropping in August. This frame has a 75-degree head tube angle, 70-degree seat tube angle, 8.8″ stand over height, 11.8″ bottom bracket height and a 13″ – 13.60″ chain stay length. You can find top and down tube gussets, an offset head tube thickness, straight gauge top and down tubes, a tapered top tube and seat stays, an elliptical down tube and chain stays to help resist denting, s-bend chain stays to fit 2.40″ tires slammed, radius chain and seat stay caps for more peg clearance and an investment cast seat post clamp. This frame is available in brakeless only. The Obscura will be available in navy and Pearl black with top tube lens of 20.2″, 20.8″ and 21.2″ and a price tag of $300!
