“So here we are; the great moment we have only mentioned a few times; the very first episode of Freestyle5. What is Freeestyle5 you say? Well it’s everything bmx; flatland, vert, dirt, street, park, and whatever else you can create with your little kids bicycles. Freestyle5 encompasses all of these areas in a 15 minute web show, where we discuss the latest and greatest web edits, products, and events. There are interviews with those who make it happen in bmx; including riders, videographers, artists, and more.
Now that you have an idea for the amazing show you are about to watch let’s give you a brief summary of what you can expect in this first episode. Along with discussions and breakdowns of the latest and greatest web edits like Mike Escamilla’s “This is United” section, Haro’s “Chile 8mm” edit, and the adventurous We the people trip to Mexico “Southbound and Down”, you also get an in depth interview with Chester Blacksmith about the We the People trip and all the trials and tribulations that went along with it. Also on the docket is a look at the new Vans / Cult collaborating grip and a quick look at an event for a worthy cause coming up soon in Portland, OR.
So sit back, relax, crack a beer (root beer for the age deprived), and enjoy the show, because it is
only going to get better and better…” – Mark Rainha / Freestyle 5
Trails Construction
Here’s a video Tom Camby put together from the construction process of their trails. There’s no riding, but if you are a trails builder or fan then you will enjoy this. Beautiful.
Spotted on the Deluxe site.
Mutiny – Heli Test #1
It’s not the first video that has used a remote control helicopter to film a few clips with, but it looks like Joe Simon picked himself one up to play with now. Joe strapped his Canon 7D to the helicopter and pulled Mikey Luplow out to the new Austin skatepark bright and early to give it a go. This is what came from it. Definitely a couple real good shots.

Fit – Pat King’s Forgotten Footage
“PK spent some time traveling and filming with Bill Brown a couple summers ago. After Bill disappeared to Mexico to work on a farming project the footage went AWOL. We tracked Bill down and here you have it, Pat Kings “Forgotten Footage”. Enjoy.” – Fit
Every time I hear this song I think of Brian Kachinky’s old Day in the Life, haha.
Animal – What’s Good with Jared Washington
Matty Long Bike Check
“Volume and Demolition rider Matty Long sessions the Volume Bikes warehouse, along with a few choice So Cal spots, while running through his Volume Bikes Drifter. And that’s really all there is to this. It’s a bike check video with some riding. Video by Tommy Blanco” – ESPN
