There’s been a lot of good things going on with one of Brooklyn’s finest lately. Anyone who has been following Ralphy Ramos has been seeing him putting in the work and it looks like things have finally paid off. With getting the bump up to the Stolen Bike Co. and Animal Bikes pro teams at the beginning of the year, we figured it was due time to get ahold of this guy to find out just what he’s about. Check out this interview to get to know him a little better and prepare yourself for plenty more of him in 2014…

Behind “Notes from the Field: Short Cuts” with Jackson Allen

February 7, 2014

The other day, the latest video from the Sasquatch Canyon crew out in California dropped on the world for us all to enjoy. The “Notes From the Field: Short Cuts” video is Jackson Allen’s latest creation coming from footage he had collected throughout the past few years through iPhones, DSLR’s, GoPro’s and more. There was so much footage that he was able to produce a 15 minute video that was filled with nothing but good times, awesome riding, great spots and more.
We were really stoked on the video, so we caught up with Jackson Allen to ask him what really went into creating this video and some insight into the full story behind it. Jackson was also able to hook us up with 13 photos that were shot throughout the making of the video that we have in a PHOTOGALLERY for you to enjoy after you check out the interview!

So check out the video above, give the interview with Jackson a read below, then check out the photos! I am sure you won’t be disappointed! Ready? Let’s do this!

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to ride with Erik many, many times… and every single time I wondered “How the hell is he not pro yet?” The level of riding Erik is on is undoubtably on another planet and if it doesn’t make you smile or even make you the slightest bit of happy watching him ride, you’re probably a pretty sick and twisted human.
Finally, regardless if Erik wasn’t trying to make it happen, the inevitable happened and he was given the bump up to the Sunday and Madera pro teams pretty much simultaneously at the beginning of the year after putting in his years blowing minds around the world.
We figured with all the good things going on, it would be a good time to catch up with Erik and find out what’s new in the life of the guy from the woods of Wisconsin, turned Minnesotan turned Texan. Let’s see what he had to say!

Quicky: Grant Castelluzzo

Over the years we’ve seen a lot of Grant Castelluzzo who has been blowing minds with his technical street riding that is pretty much un-duplicateable. With the start of 2014, it seemed like everything good that Grant had been working towards fell into place. Grant was added to the pro team roster for Mutiny and shortly after named the Team Manager for the brand as well. We figured with everything he has going on with Mutiny, his constant involvement with Profile Racing and his steady flow of videos where he’s either in front of the camera or behind the lens, it would be a good time to catch up and find out what’s new! Let’s see what he had to say!

Videos: Bobby Kanode

Bobby Kanode

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a lot of videos from Bobby Kanode. From the videos featuring the Arizona crew like his new full-length video “Mediocre At Best” to his different videos for Subrosa that we’ve been seeing pop up for the past few months. Bobby’s videos have become ones we can always count on to come out with a good vibe and to have some quality filming and editing.
With the release of the DVD and his new role as the team filmer for Subrosa, we figured it was more than a good time to catch up with Bobby and find out a little bit more about how he got into filming, what he’s working on these days and more. We will also take a look at some of his latest work! Let’s check out what he had to say!

With the start of 2014, there were a lot of surprises when it came to sponsor changes and announcements. One of those changes that really caught us off guard was Dan Foley’s decision to step away from the Premium team after a few years with them on his own. We figured it has been a while since we’ve caught up with Dan and were curious what lead to his decision, so we got ahold of him to find out the story and see what else is new with him! Check out what he had to say!

Through The Lens: Last Days in California with Brandon Dosch

January 15, 2014

TTL_100_opener_600x

Well here it is… The one I have been waiting for. I have been talking about this column for months and months now. Every time I mention to someone that I write a weekly column and tell them how many weeks that I’ve been doing it for it reminds me how crazy it is. I can’t recall anything that I’ve done specifically and routinely for 100 weeks in a row and I think that goes for most people. That is why this column is one to remember. For this week I had the chance to catch up with Brandon Dosch and interview him before he starts on his next chapter in life in a new State. Brandon is an amazing rider and has been killing it for years. He has the drive and determination to progress and continue to push his riding forward for a long time to come. He wants to give back to BMX, and understands the importance of making riding look appealing to the younger generation. Take a few minutes to see what he had to say and thank you to everyone who has been down with TTL since this column started. Here’s to 100!

If there’s one thing that I know, it’s that if there is one guy who deserves every good thing that happens to him, it is Brian Kachinsky. After what seemed like a rough patch for Brian that we will call “2013” that involved losing sponsors, having new deals fall through, moving The Bakery to a new location and then being forced to rip it all out two months later, injuries and more. It would appear that things are finally starting to look better with the start of the new year for him. It was just announced yesterday that Brian had been added to the Vans team and this news couldn’t get any better. We figured it would be a good time to get ahold of him and catch up to find out what else is new. Let’s see what he had to say!
