It looks like the law finally caught up with Billy Perry and his “gang” and have put Billy, Anthony Panza, Jonathan Nemecek and Brian Chliek under arrest for riding the Splish Splash Waterpark. We’re not sure of the extent of things yet since it appears that Billy and Anthony are out since they have tweeted and released videos since. It does sound like they will be going to court in February, where things will get all figured out. Base off the news story (which you can check out below), it’s safe to say the media has been, and is, blowing this way out of proportion. They’re clearly milking this for everything it has by trying to track these guys down to get comments on the situation from their door steps. It’s really unfortunate they are painting these guys are the worst criminals ever. It’s unfortunate, but as far as we’re concerned is this is all just making the water park and news look bad, haha. This could have flown under the radar, but because all the media attention it’s causing the video to get more and more views and more people talking about it.
You can check out a news story RIGHT HERE.
We’re just wondering if this will have any sort of impact on other riders. Will this keep you from riding street or hopping fences to ride spots? Let us know in the comments!

We are all riders here but the one thing is that we adventure search for more than a stupid skate park we snoop the streets for spots where nobodys been or the most famous spots found i shall never stop hopping fences. Because whats the fun in a plain old skate park not having a good time. Than when you and you’re mates enjoying the environment that holds the magnificent rails and banks rode by legends etc here me out here. We will never stop riding street because we’ll be out here all day making movies and having a good time…

Reading multiple stories on the account of this incident, I can see that this was blown out of proportion. Only 1 out of the 4 sources stated that there was “Thousands of dollars of damage done” to the water slides. These news reports about what happened are barely credible. The funny thing is that the news did not credit the source from which they had got the video, meaning no links or anything were included. As Riverhead News-Review states,” though other videos on his page indicate that an occasional run-in with the law is not out of the ordinary.” honestly, they must not know that a security guard only has the power to call the police in the event of something happening. It is falsely stated and biased. For a few final words, FREE THEM ALL!!!!!!1

Completely agree the news is doing a terrible job. They are seriously damaging these guys by making them out to be the harshest of criminals. Maybe they should sue the water park because they made it so easy to get into the place, haha.

After I saw how sensationalized this story became I had to give up riding bmx. I can’t handle the stress of thinking my next stunt move is going to put me in the joint for 4-10 years, maybe I get out in 2 with good behavior, but my butthole is still getting torn up. Not today.
Kurt says
Haha, I can’t imagine anyone will actually do any sort of time for riding BMX unless they’re hurting other people and really tearing stuff up. These guys will just get slapped with tickets and fees for “damage” and have it on their records. Highly unlikely they will have any chance to drop the soap.
