Do you need a hub guard, but you want something that will fit on either you drive or non-drive-side, and protect the dropouts? The Overguard Hub Guard from Eclat might just be what you’re looking for. Traditional hub guards are mounted between the hub and the dropouts of the frame, giving you protection for your hub, but not your dropouts. The Overguard gives you full protection of the dropouts and the hub. This hub guard is made from heat-treated 4140 chromoly and simply slides on between your dropout and the peg, with two anti-rotation pin slots so you can run this guard on either side of your bike. Due to its shape, it’s also universal for drive or non-drive side since the guard will fit over most 9-tooth drivers. The Overguard comes in black only, fits most frames and will work with pretty much all pegs and hubs, weighs in at 2.7 oz. and can be picked up for around $26.99 through most BMX shops and mail-order that sell Eclat worldwide.
The Overguard has two anti-roll pin tabs so you can fit the guard on either side of your back wheel.
