“Bangers every minute, action until the drop! World-class BMX tricks were once again on display at the @eurobikeshowSKYLINE BMX Contest in Frankfurt in 2025 – despite record-breaking heat.
This was not least due to the fact that this year’s event was more international than ever. Two Australians, Josh Dove and Alec Danelutti, even took part this time.
The first highlight was the traditional Best Trick Contest on Saturday evening, in which the top-class field of riders gave it their all. In the end, it was the aforementioned Alec Danelutti who prevailed in the men’s category with an incredible 360 backflip downside whip over the spine – a move that not even a handful of people in the world have mastered. In the women’s category, however, French rider Valeriia Liubimova took the win with a 360 toboggan over the challenging jump box.
On the final Sunday, Alec Danelutti was once again the measure of all things, taking first place in the men’s category with his beautiful style and extremely difficult tricks at incredible heights, while Red Bull rider and last year’s winner Lara Lessmann once again prevailed in the women’s category with numerous amazing trick combinations throughout the course.
The successful conclusion to the event was a new event: Ring The Bell Battle sponsored by Marshall. In this event, the riders had to ring a bell that hung above the jump box and was continually raised. It was a truly entertaining experience, as the competitors ultimately reached truly dizzying heights. In the women’s category, it was Lara Lessmann who once again found herself at the top of the podium, while in the men’s category, Wiktor Samojlik from Poland prevailed over Josh Dove.
For all of you who weren’t there to witness the spectacle in person, here’s a full slate of video highlights from what was probably the toughest and best German BMX freestyle contest of the year.
Have fun, and be sure to join us next time. One thing’s for sure: This is crying out for a repeat. Frankfurt, we’ll be back!
