It’s that time of the year when brands are starting to finally release their latest and greatest products that we got a sneak peek look at during Interbike 2013 back in September. If you recall our coverage from the event, Volume Bikes and Demolition had a handful of new product on display that was looking nothing short of dialed. With their new product just about ready to hit distributors, shops and mail-orders world wide, we decided to chase down Brian Castillo to get photos and all the specs on all of the new product him and the rest of the crew have been hard at work on for the past year or so. We are fortunate enough to give you guys the first in-depth look at their full range of new frames and parts that we undoubtably know you guys will be stoked on. Let’s take a closer look!
This year, Volume Bikes have added a few new items to their line up like Jason Enns’ signature Cerberus frame which has been out for a few months now. However, starting in March, Volume will have a few more new items for you like Broc Raiford’s well deserved signature frame, the Vessel. This full chromoly frame has a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9.25″ stand over height and a 13.25″ chain stay length (slammed). You can find features like the hour glass head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, removable brake mounts, a butted seat tube, tiny investment cast drop outs with plenty of peg clearance and integrated chain tensioners, curved bridges of added tire clearance for those monster truck tires and an integrated seat post clamp. The Vessel will be available in top tube lengths of 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ with colors of black, raw and flat red and a weight of 5 lbs. 2 oz.
The second fresh item that will be released next month from Volume are Drew Hosselton’s signature Barista bars. These full chromoly bars have a tall 9″ rise, 29″ width, 10-degrees of backsweep and 1-degree of upsweep. These bars will be available in flat black and chrome with a weight of 32.8 oz.
If 9″ rise is a little more than you can handle, Volume have also released Alex Raban’s signature Iron Chachi bars a few months back which feature a rise of 8.3″. You can find out more about these bars right here.

To go along with the new goods coming from Volume, Demolition has a bunch of fresh items dropping next month that you will want to take a closer look at as well.
First up, we have the all new Chris Doyle signature Maiden fork that will replace his signature Concorde fork that has been available for a few years and has seen 3 updated versions. This full chromoly 32mm offset fork features a one-piece 163mm steerer tube, tapered legs that have rounded ends at the bottom to give you plenty of peg clearance, a wider gap between the legs to give you clearance for the larger tires and an integrated headset race built in. The Maiden fork will be available in black and chrome with a weight of 32.2 oz.
Demolition will also be releasing three new signature stems for team riders Aaron Smith, Kris Fox and Connor Lodes. Aaron Smith’s signature Brace top load stem is CNC machined from 6061 alloy and will feature a more traditional look with a 50mm or 53mm reach, a 33mm stack height, a 50mm wide clamping area with a bar bore that helps to prevent slip, extra internal and external machining for a clean look and weight savings, and a recessed top so your compression cap can sit flush. The Brace will be available in flat black, polished and red with a weight of 12.3 oz.
Next up we have the Kris Fox signature stem that has been properly named the Stylus. This traditional front load stem is CNC machined from 6061 alloy with additional machining internally and externally to help save weight and give it a little extra style. The stem features a 50mm reach, a 33mm stack height, a 48mm wide clamp area, beveled edges and a recessed top so your fork’s compression cap can sit flush. The Stylus stem will be available in flat black, polished and red with a weight of 10 oz. even.
The 3rd would be Connor Lodes’ signature Top Lodes stem. This CNC machined 6061 alloy stem features a dropped top load style with a 50mm reach, a 32mm stack height, extra internal and external CNC machining for a clean look and weight savings, a 50mm clamp area for improved clamping, beveled edges and a recessed top for your fork’s compression cap to sit flush. The Top Lodes will be available in flat black, polished and red with a weight of 11.1 oz.
Demolition have a few new signature items in the works with Dennis Enarson that include cranks, bars, a seat and tires. The Rig bars are the first item from the line that will be available. The Rig bars are made from 13-butted, heat-treated 4130 chromoly with two rise options; 9″ and 9.25″. Both sizes of bars have a 29″ width, 12-degrees of backsweep, 2-degrees of upsweep and a 6.6″ crossbar height. The bars will be available in flat black and chrome with a weight of 32.5 oz. (9″) or 33.2 oz. (9.25″)
Next up we have Connor Lodes’ signature Axes pivotal seat. This seat starts out with a reinforced base that helps to prevent bending and breaking, then they’ve added a thicker foam that’s covered with a canvas style material and plastic bumpers on the nose and tail to help reduce wear and tear. Inside you can find a hollow pivotal bolt to help keep the weight down. This seat will be available in black with white stitching and a weight of 12.6 oz.
Demolition have teamed up with Markit to do a second collaboration seat. This time around they’ve decided to give the Tripod seat system a go instead of the Pivotal style that the first version used. This seat starts out with the Tripod base that allows for easy installation and a clean look. The base is covered with a thick foam, a denim fabric and plastic bumpers under the tail and nose to help resist wear and tear. You can find the Markit logo embroidered on with a Demolition patch on the back. The Demolition X Markit Tripod seat will be available in black with white stitching and black with red stitching and a weight of 8.9 oz.
The classic Trooper PC pedal has been given a little flavor for 2014. This nylon plastic pedal features a horizontally concaved design for extra grip a comfort with 10 square molded pins to give you even more traction. Inside you can find two unsealed bearings and a solid heat-treated chromoly spindle. The Trooper PC Splatter pedal will be available in black and cyan splatter which will be exclusively sold through Demolition’s U.S distributor, QBP, and black with white splatter which will be available worldwide with a weight of 14.5 oz. Do note that each pedal will have a unique color pattern because of the process used to create the splatter effect.
And to wrap things up, Demolition have updated Ryan “Biz” Jordan signature Rotator freecoaster for this drop of new product in March. This freecoaster has a CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum shell with a solid 14mm heat-treated axle and the proven KHE internals on the inside. For this version, they’ve updated their 1-piece 9-tooth chromoly driver with a needle bearing instead of the angular contact bearing the original version used to help improve the side load support and prevent bearing blow out. The Rotator hub will be available in right and left side drive with colors of black and polished and a weight of 23 oz. This hub also includes 3 slack washers to adjust the hub to give you the amount of slack that you prefer.
