With the recent event of my Alienware having its graphics card getting fried beyond repair… I was in search for a new laptop…
I was in a predicament that I think everyone can relate to all too well. You have x amount of dollars in the bank, and you have things you need to pay for or buy.
Then, something you really wish you didn’t have to do happens. In my case, it was my laptop frying out due to the way Alienware (Dell) does things. I would have had to replace the motherboard and everything to fix it. Totaling in just under what a new laptop would cost! How about that?
So, here I was talking with people about laptops and 95% of the people said that if you can get a Macbook Pro you won’t regret it. I really had no choice, I had to jump on the trendy train and make the buy. I purchased this Macbook Pro from the Apple site as a refurbished…. Hey, I had to save a little money!
I got it all dialed in last night with photoshop, Final Cut, and a few other programs so I should be good to go on this blogging game.
That would explain my lack of posts the last few days right? Well, that’s why… The desktop I use from time to time is about 6 years old and ready to blow up one of these days from all the crap I have put it through. Oh well, I am stoked on my new laptop.
…I just have to put off paying off my car for a few more months…
Along with that, I bought a new Canon T1i to play with since I have wanted to step my photography game up a bit lately. That is on its way as I type this…. so expect me to post up some photos here and there and maybe even a few HD videos.
Otherwise, the other big expense I had that the laptop almost threw out the window is Chicago Dew Tour. I’ll be down there shooting photos, doing some interviews, riding mechanical bulls?, riding, and partying with some people. I’m excited to go back to Chicago since it has been about 5 years and that is where I was born. So between here and Dig I will be posting photos, videos?, interviews, and anything else I find worthwhile to post for you guys.
Oh, by the way… I don’t know if you noticed but I have been posting a lot of features up on the Dig site lately. So if you haven’t been checking that site out lately… get to it! I think you will be stoked.
Alright, so that’s my ramblings for why the site has been a bit slow the last few days. I’ll be back to kicking ass after this weekend is over and I am back on track!
