“NASS 2015 PRO PARK DESIGN ANNOUNCED
Updated Pro Park Design the venue for an incredible weekend of the very best in action sports.
22 June 2015
The time is upon us for NASS to announce the official Pro Park design for NASS 2015. Over the years the NASS Pro Park Course has hosted some of the gnarliest guys in both BMX and skateboarding, challenging them to push their own boundaries and subsequently the boundaries of what is achievable on a bike or board.
Every year the anticipation levels of the action sports community go through the roof waiting for this announcement. Everyone is buzzing to see the new Pro Park’s lines and to see what gaps or drops will motivate the madman that lives inside our athletes. The 2015 Pro Park merges huge flowing transitions with a plaza-esque street feel, creating a course that will showcase the variety of styles from the incredible line up of competitors this year.
Someone that has demonstrated his supremacy in the NASS Pro Park is 2 x NASS Pro BMX champion Logan Martin, who had the following to say about this year’s park –
“The course looks awesome this year as per every year! The box straight into the step up is always super fun! I’m sure there will be some fun gaps and transfers by looking at a photo! The course usually links up really well and is always built solid so I’m excited to ride it!” – Logan Martin
For NASS 2015, Skateboarding has never looked stronger. The lineup of skaters is simply incredible and will no doubt smash the park to pieces. As well as all the usual UK and Euro wood pushers, there is the addition of Tony Hawk (USA), Ben Raybourn (USA) and Aaron ‘Jaws’ Homoki (USA). The rest of the Birdhouse Pro Team will also be joining these guys are they are all itching to get involved with the street demo in the Pro Park (Saturday 11th July at midday).
British skate ripper, Josh ‘Manhead’ Young, has plenty of experience of competing and rolling around the NASS Pro Park. It would be fair to say Manhead was amped to see the new layout for 2015.
“”I really like the transition elements of the park. Being a big fan of mini ramps and skate parks it looks like loads of fun. I imagine there’s lots of flow, interesting lines and tons of speed!” – Josh Young

If this is not enough for your gut to digest, NASS 2015 are bringing back Vert to the mayhem. Built to the same Spec of Tony Hawks own ramp, the 14ft walls will be graced by some of the biggest names in BMX and Skating, including BMX legend Simon Tabron (UK) as well as the Birdman himself. The Vert ramp is also the only Vert stop and demo scheduled on the Birdhouse European Vacation, so you know that the guys are going to be so amped for this.
You may have heard somewhere that Tony Hawk (USA) was first ever skateboarder to land a 900. Oh, he may have won 9 X-Games gold medals as well, no bigee. Tony had this to say about the ramp and his first time being at NASS–
“I can’t wait to drop in for the crowd at NASS. Between the world class action sports line-up and the great music, NASS looks like a ‘can’t miss’ event.” – Tony Hawk
UK Vert rippers Sam Beckett (Winner of Malmo Vert Attack 9), Andy Scott and Sam Bosworth see the NASS Vert contest as the biggest Vert Skating contest in the UK and are stoked that it is being ran by the UK Independent Vert Series. This is an unmissable addition to an incredible list of comps at NASS 2015
You can check out the other courses including the BMX and MTB Dirt Jumps, the public park and public mini ramp as they’re released at www.nassfestival.com.”
