The annual New York Grands race went down the other day. Check out this video from the race!

For the past 8 years, there’s been a wild race that puts a ton of riders on a race through New York City hitting a bunch of set points before getting to the finish line. The New York Grands seems to get bigger every year and the race never fails to look insane with everyone dodging traffic, skitching and everything. This year was no different and Sam Downs documented the whole thing. Check it out!

This is the 8th annual New York Grands BMX race presented by @bicyclefilmfestival. Racers started from lower Manhattan and raced through the city into Brooklyn, where a finish line party was waiting for them at @tendertrapbk.

Riders had two checkpoints to hit, one in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. In addition to a hole-shot prize, for the first time ever, a long Jump contest took place DURING the race!
