Matt Coplon – Year 41

June 15, 2018

Matt Coplon celebrates his 41st birthday with a new video…

It’s always a good day when Matt Coplon has a new video to check out! Not only did Matt celebrate his 41st birthday recently, he also celebrated 20 years as a rider and an employee at Profile Racing! How rad is that? Matt might not be the young gun he might have been back in the day, but that doesn’t stop him from coming through with creative, unique and stylish clips that are too good to pass up! Check out this fresh batch of clips and some words below!

“Putting out another full edit in the year after hitting level four is no small feat, but in between his hectic daily schedule, Matt Coplon continues to shed the Tampa Bay area and beyond. This is a documentation of Matt’s riding highlights during the last 12 months, and also a celebration of two decades of being with Profile.” – DIG

“In the Spring of 1998, Jeff Harrington, on behalf of Profile, asked if I’d ride for their brand. 20 years later, I couldn’t see myself riding any other drive train. Celebrating both 20 years of riding for the brand (17 of those working closely here in the Profile factory)
and the daily motivation I still feel upon turning 41, here’s a collection of clips I’ve put together building up to that date. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy.

Thanks to Profile Racing for 20 years of support.
To Chad Degroot and Deco.
To John Povah and Etnies.
To Brian Schaefer and the Skatepark of Tampa.
To Adi Gilbert and Folklore.
To Steve Crandall and FBM.
Thanks to Steve Caro, Ricky Moseley, Mike Hinkens, Eric “Easy” Fabrisiak, and Alan Shirley for motivation and assistance with filming. Extra thanks to Ariel Gunn, Adi Gilbert, Will and DIG BMX, Beth and Alan Shirley and especially Steve Caro
for all their help and support.

Freecoaster VS Cassette – Which Should I Choose?

June 15, 2018

Not sure what the difference between a Freecoaster or a Cassette is? Here is a video to explain…

With the explosion of popularity of the freecoaster hub over the past 5ish years, we’ve seen a lot of riders make the switch from cassette to the stealthy freecoaster. Some riders, it’s a practical decision that fits with their riding style, others do it because their favorite pro riders run one and some dabble with it and realize it isn’t for them. The guys at Lux BMX put together this short but sweet video explaining the differences between a Freecoaster and a Cassette hub, hopefully helping you to make a decision for what works best for your riding style.

“Confused about the different hub options for BMX? Evan talks us through the main differences between freecoaster and cassette BMX hubs and which one is best for your needs.

Got a question about anything BMX related? Let us know in the comments and we’ll answer it for you.” – Lux BMX

Ight Hype – The BMX Death Race

June 14, 2018

Hills, pallets, sketchy ramps and more… Check out this video from The Death Race!

What happens when you take a bunch of riders into the woods, put a bunch of sketchy ramps and obstacles in the way, add a little rain and and send them down the hill in a race? Crashes, laughs, good times and more! Here’s what happened at the Ight Hype BMX Death Race!

“Ight Hype is a clothing / lifestyle brand based in Massachusetts and ran by Jake Seeley. Jake has been in the BMX game for as long as I can remember, and while his progressive BMX riding hasn’t slowed down one bit, he’s also managed to lend a hand in growing his local scene by throwing jams, starting up Aight Hype, and putting together events like this “DEATH RACE” through the woods of the East Coast.
